My beautiful wife bought me a Mac book pro.  I am quite excited with it so far.  The operating system is a little bit different than Windows.  I hope it runs better and longer than my last (Windows) lap top.

As for buying myself a gift...SHHHHHHHHHH! I bought a used set of V&H Ovals.  I can't wait to for spring! Thanks to Dan a CVO MEMBER!

Merry Christmas everyone and wishing you and your families a very very Happy New Year!

Awesome........  We did that last year to our families.   I still think that was the best Christmas present ever given to them, and 4 months ago (when he was born).... It was our best present to each other thus far.

Congrats!

How thoughtful!  I have seen them but I am still working on getting my wedding band replaced.  I have gone from a 15 to a 12.5 do to surgery this past spring.  Heck I never gave it a thought because I never thought they would make it in a 15.... but now....MMMMMMM. It probably won't fly for a wedding band.

Check w/a dealer Josten's makes Harley-Davidson Wedding Bands... might mean you have to get her a matching one, but you'd have a H-D one. :2vrolijk_21:

Terrie and I are visiting So Cal.  Spent Christmas Day in Palm Springs.  It's a little rough here......everybody running around in shorts and t-shirts.  Didn't hardly seem like Christmas but we'll survive. :huepfenlol2:

Going to ride the tram to the top of the mountain for breakfast, this morning.  It takes you from 2,200 to 8,400 feet in just a few minutes.

New socks and boxer briefs! I remember as a kid being upset to get socks. Now, I'm happy about it.

The bike garage is full of bikes so it had to be tools.

This is the coolest tool. Been wanting one of these.

I told one of the techs at the Harley shop to tell Nancy.

She delivered.

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=yes&tool=all&item_ID=68242&group_ID=1844&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

and she also got me the accessory kit that goes with it.

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=74623&group_ID=1844&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

I like new tools!

Drove one of those as a loaner while getting my RL serviced. Extremely nice! I probably couldn't drive one for a week without getting a ticket though. Drive safely!

You got that right about being quick, If you drove a 09 or earlier they had 4 cyl. in them this year they came out with a V-6, 290 hp, I really think it will out handle the Vette i had. We made a deal on a TL, and told them we would be back the next week to get it when in insurance settlement check came, Then my wife decided she wanted the TSX instead. One thing that really surprised me was that it takes premium gas, hard to believe in a Jap V-6.

To my knowledge the Acura 6 cyl motors have always required premium gas. Small price to pay for that type of performance.

I got ( bought it for myself ) a 2000 FXR4. deal went through 12/24, so I am calling it my Christmas present although I have been hunting for an FXR for months. Guess buying it day before Christmas provides me some cover. Bike is in storage at Manchester ( NH ) HD, but will be here with me in a few short Months  :-\.

Best wishes to all,

My son made me a potato launcher. We went through a 20lb sack of spuds and then rearmed with lemons from the neighbors tree which worked even better. Its amazing what a little charge of starter fluid will do. Nothing is safe on our lake anymore.  :drink:  Doc

I went down to the beach this morning with a big trash bag expecting mash and lemonade but found nothing. The white pelicans have been a little more active in the area with all the chum maybe drawing more chad and cats.  :nixweiss:   :drink:   Doc

Actually Cozumel is where I took this picture 2 + years ago.

I had never seen the raised chrome lettering on the for F150 or the LOBO as it is called in Mexico

...from our patio to a couple hundred feet into the water.   :apple:
I must have sold a ton of ABS pipe and fittings back in the early 90's when we had the Hardware store. We used the cheap hair spray back then. They would come in and start asking questions next thing you know I was cutting pieces of pipe and putting them together. Lots of fun.

Now thats the thing to do, I like your thoughtfullness of others..........  we keep it very small, it's not like we can't (and don't) get whatever we  want (need??) all year long.

To me TIME is the ultimate gift, time together, time with family and friends.........  face it, time, family, friends and eachother is about the only thing we can't replace. So I try to spend it wisely and as happy as I can or to me, it just being wasted ~~~  and I ain't sure how much it left.

In November I bought another bike but it took almost a month to get it home due to parts delay etc. Glad it's finally home and I can ride it some. (I didn't even have to pay extra for the reflectors  ;D )

Yes I couldn't stand to part with it yet. ;D
(I thought market would be bad for trade or sale and I wanted to see if this 110 motor was going to be reliable or not.)

My son gave me this black neon Screamin Eagle sign for Christmas.

I was told today by my local dealer today that all 428 Harley Dealer's in 1999 was given one these to promote the kick off of Screamin Eagle in 2000. This sign was not ''For Sale'' at the local dealer, my son negotiated a deal with the owner.

You know sales are slow when they start selling signs off the wall.

Probably not until 20011, 2010 vacation is all booked up. I wanted to get the BMW but it was 8-10K more than I paid for the Strom.
A couple of the guys here have made the trip and posted links of their venture that inspired me. If you are interested in going in 2011, maybe we can hook up in Canada. This kind of trip definitely takes a lot of planing.  Roger

I would be interested.  That kind of trip would be fun depending on the route (preferably tough and dangerous), the riding skills and the physical condition of the other riders.  My riding skills do not limit me to pavement.  I have ridden dirt bikes since age 13, raced motocross as a teenager, quads, and still snowmobile every winter.

For reference, attached is a brochure from Aerostich Tours.  Their tours are costly and might be a tad too touristy for me.

Yea, that's the whole idea of me getting a dual sport. I have a XR 400 dual sport, and a CR250 but I've had to give up the track reciently as this ole body can't handle mistakes on those doubles anymore and the 400 is way too small so it's off to new adventures. The tour thing is out for me too.  Lot's of good advice and info on adventure forums for an Alaska trip though.

Over the next few weeks I will do some research on this and i definately want to be kept in the loop of your plans.  I will let you know 9 months in advance whether I am in for a given adventure trip or not.

Keep in touch.

Besides that great Christmas morning ride with my dad, I got to spend some time with theses rascals. Love them all!

Wow! Great picture AJ! :2vrolijk_21:

Debbie and I spent the day with family. We had a gas watching the little ones. This year Debbie and I decided to pass on buying anything for ourselves since we are blessed enough to get what we need when we want to, so this year we gave to those that were in need! What a joy it was. Plan on doing that from now on.  :2vrolijk_21:

It looks like you had a great day, first a special ride with your day then a nice time with your family. Now that's what Christmas is all about, spending time with the ones we love.  :2vrolijk_21:

Bought myself a HD Garmin Nuvi GPS.  Just got it mounted last week and took it for a ride today.  Its a lot of fun to play with and works great.  I expect to put it to great use this coming year.  I rode 11,000 miles in the first seven months of having the bike.  I expect to put another 20,000 this year.  Wish me luck.

My wife got me a Ipod Nano and Rider's Claw :) :) :) :)  I have already put the Rider's claw mount on - It Looks GOOD!  I can't wait to use it but first I have to sync the Ipod it holds 4000 songs yes 4000 so it may be a while before I ride :D

:huepfenjump3:Santa is  getting me new pipes and a TTS mastertune. :huepfenjump3:

I can't wait to Spring either - Merry Christmas!

Some friendly advice from an avid Ipod user. Do not load every song from every cd you have one your Ipod unless you truly like every song. Otherwise you will end up with allot of b-side songs taking up memory on your device. When you scan songs in before scanning them highlight the songs and right click. select properties and in there you will find an options tab. click on the options tab and there is a volume slide bar. slide it up to 75%. This will make the songs play louder for the bike. You can also do this with songs already on the Ipod and computer. You will find from trial and error not all songs are good bike songs. You will not be able to here softer music and some songs you may only hear some instruments. I reccommend making playlist with your favorite songs then you can set it and forget it. A playlist of 75 to 80 songs will usually play all day if your traveling. Good luck and happy motoring!!!!
