On the other hand, I kind of like the fact that someone in La-La Land finally stood up to the self important and self destructive idiot.  Now if they would just throw Lindsey Lohan in jail and lose the key, perhaps we could get some real news on TV.

BTW, Charlie might think it's all about him, but there is a large group of writers, directors, producers and actors who make that show successful.  When you think about it, how hard is it to play yourself?  Doesn't take any great talent that I'm aware of.

Its one of those shows where even the reruns are still entertaining. I'm sure the whole cast loved Charlie finally standing up to Lorre. It will be back and Charlie probably will outlast him.  Doc

The Two and a Half Men cocreator's vanity card this week read, "I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x—rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers. If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."

It's kind of ironic that these guys produce these kind of shows that basically give a message that it's okay and kind of cool to live and be like Charlie Harper. Organized groups have complained about the show promoting sexism toward women and others the alcohol being abused as funny.

Now that the real Charlie Sheen is copping a Charlie Harper attitude towards the producers they don't like it! Alcohol/drug abuse and problem not so funny now! A double standard? The producers are complaining that calling the one writer by his formal Jewish name is anti-semitism and wrong but they write and produce shows that have prejudices against the elderly, gays, religions, women, etc.

They should just shut the hell up and produce the show. Although the show is getting old and the humor isn't as funny the 100th time repeated. I enjoyed the earlier years. Not so impressed with this latest season.

Charlie Sheen looks like he needs some intervention to me and I hope he gets it before his best years get away.

Interesting that Charlie Sheen has found the need to take whores to Nevada! (Jay Leno)

One of the more amusing things (to me at least) in Charlie's rant at Chuck Lorre was his rather disdainful use of Lorre's real name. Kinda funny coming from a guy who's legal name is Carlos Erwin Estevez aka Charlie Sheen.  As to whether or not Charlie deserves fame and fortune ? I think we're all to blame. We watch his movies and this show, we contribute to his success. I agree, the man needs help and some real tough love. The trouble is that 2 & 1/2 men was a ratings juggernaut and making money by the bazillions for CBS. The Hollywood way is to use people as cash cows til the milk runs dry and then throw them to the wolves. Tom Siezmore being a classic example. At one time he was a box office draw as an anti-hero. Mickey Rourke another. Mickey's come back with a vengeance in the past few years and it's good to see because he really can act. I've been watching a variety of his movies and with the exception of the groaner (Harley-Davidson and the Marlborough Man) he's done some really solid acting. Siezmore in "Enemy of The State" was downright scary even knowing I was watching a movie. OK, I'm getting off track, but the point is that these people are paid huge amounts of money because they generate huge amounts of money. Until they are no longer generating those huge sums they are allowed to live lives that the rest of us cannot. They are protected by armies of sycophants and lawyers and PR people etc etc etc, Hell, it's been that way for like forever. I'm sure any of you rock and roll fans have heard the stories of Mick and Keith and the boys going to Sweden to have dialysis prior to going on tour when they were in the worst drug days. It's been going on forever - - why didn't anyone help Van Gogh ?  Anyway, that's my totally rambling disjointed attempt at "pullin a Charlie"    :D

I guess the only way to find out is let Lorre base a sitcom on his life style

The Two and a Half Men cocreator's vanity card this week read, "I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x—rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. ...and maybe call it "The Odd Couple"

Charlie Sheens uncle Frank Estevez was guidance counselor at a school in Ohio and used to arrange for me to hire seniors from the vocational school for my tool & die shop, he looked a lot like Martin and is a super guy.  I even employed one of the Sheens at one time, but this young kid never got into acting, stayed in the tool business as far as I know.  So I do know there is one super nice side to the family that never got into all the things that happen to those in tinsel town.

This story is getting weirder by the day. Charlie has done a bunch of interviews with various talking heads from the different networks. He even did a couple of on camera drug/alcohol tests and passed. So now, the latest is that he's suffering from some mental disorder that makes one dillusional and a meglomaniac etc etc.  I forget what they called it but what I call it is - -  - - he's got too much f$%*in money !

Well, he would be making perfect sense to me if I was a wacked out crack head with more money than God intended some folks to have (Richard Pryor said it best).

Maybe then would have that tiger blood in my veins & be high on the same kind of high Sheen was when he said he was high on Charlie Sheen.

He has the money to do whatever he wants & as long as he does, he will.  Tough on his family & he has more friends - for now - than he can buy stuff for.  Doubt this ends well unless something changes...

Never watched the tv show but have seen some of his movies.

 :nixweiss: :P

Chuck Lorre, creator and executive producer of 'Two and a Half Men,' posted a "vanity card" after last night's episode of 'Mike & Molly', one of the other shows he helms, that answered his thoughts on the recent Charlie Sheen debacle and the possible future of 'Two and a Half Men.'

According to EW, on the card Lorre says, "I understand that I'm under a lot of pressure to respond to certain statements made about me recently. The following are my uncensored thoughts. I hope this will put an end to any further speculation."

He continues, "I believe that consciousness creates the illusion of individuation, the false feeling of being separate. In other words, I am aware, ergo I am alone. I further believe that this existential misunderstanding is the prime motivating force for the neurotic compulsion to blot out consciousness. This explains the paradox of our culture, which celebrates the ego while simultaneously promoting its evisceration with drugs and alcohol."

He goes on, "It also clarifies our deep-seated fear of monolithic, one-minded systems like communism, religious fundamentalism, zombies and invaders from Mars. Each one is a dark echo of an oceanic state of unifying transcendence from which consciousness must, by nature, flee. The Fall from Grace is, in fact, a Sprint from Grace. Or perhaps more accurately, 'Screw Grace, I am so outta here!'

Any chance Charlie's seemingly insane rants are in actuality him talking Lorrespeak ? One seems just as bizarre as the other to me.

When the show gets restarted after its current drama the whole world is going to feel foolish for buying in to the stupid cooked up drama that Lorre and Sheen created to stir up more interest in an old show...  ???

Maybe not, but I wouldn't put it past a crowd whose narcissism runs as deep as theirs does.

FYI  - - Charlie's making a bundle on Twitter. Gets paid for his posts and any products he somehow manages to appear to be endorsing. Kim K gets up to $10k per tweet for endorsements . Oh yeah, why do they call them tweets and not Twits since the site is called Twitter and not Tweeter ? Hmmmmmmmmmm, would that be stating the obvious perhaps ?

Here's something to ponder. Facebook and Twitter are set up so if you're stupid enough you enter the most intimate details of your life into your "homepage" you've manage to create a huge database of information about every asset of your life. Oh sure, you can limit who sees it out on the main space but tell me you honestly think the owners of these sites don't have full access. Also, you can call me Oliver Stone but I have a hard time believing there exists a repository of personal information on 800 million individuals and the U S Government doesn't have access to it. Big Brother is in actuality Little Brother Mark Zuckerburg and everyone that's on these site (I'm not) gave away their privacy freely. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, if only Kruschev were alive to see this.

This was a post Sunday from a buddy, I think it hits the nail square on the head.  This country is in bad bad shape, we need to give the honor where it belongs!  These boys gave their lives so that dick head can spout off like he does!

Charlie Sheen 47, is all over the news because he's a Celebrity drug addict. While Andrew Wilfahrt 31, Brian Tabada 21, Rudolph Hizon 22, Chauncy May 25, are Soldiers who gave their lives this week w/ no media mention.

During Vietnam, every day, the media showed pictures of those who gave the ultimate in service to their country being brought home to be buried by their loved ones. Nearly 60,000 officially, probably closer to 70,000 if anybody ever counted all those who couldn't fit back into society when they got home. At some point in the past 15 years or so, somebody somewhere - - maybe the White House, maybe the Pentagon, I don't know but somebody made the decision to seek to prevent the media from showing the real cost of war on the evening news. I've heard it was done out of respect for the grieving and a lot of other stories. In cities and towns across America, the names of the dead are honored, but our politicians, especially those on the national scene talk about war in generalities. If you read or listen closely you'll hear terms like acceptable losses and collateral damage etc. Vague terms that in truth represent real live human beings. Since our evening news brodcasts no longer bring us together as they did in the days of Uncle Walter we have Facebook and Twitter and Yahoo and others. Those "social media" have become our national identity. As such, is it any wonder that our culture has become celebrity driven ? Does it really suprise anyone that Charlie Sheen becomes more a news item than the deaths of those who protect us from the tyranny that surrounds us ?

Can I see if Vegas has odds on when Charlie will be DEAD ?

Heck - they say you can bet on anything in Sin City ...

Just sayin

Charlie is not that rich or connected compared to the big players in Hollywood - My bet is if he keeps up the BS Lip Service, especially the anti-Semitic stuff, Charlie will have a mysterious accident or accidental overdose (HOTSHOT). Business as usual when you F with the Big Boys  who have connections to EVERYTHING.

and then again, I may be wrong

Charlie is not that rich or connected compared to the big players in Hollywood - My bet is if he keeps up the BS Lip Service, especially the anti-Semitic stuff, Charlie will have a mysterious accident or accidental overdose (HOTSHOT). Business as usual when you F with the Big Boys  who have connections to EVERYTHING.

and then again, I may be wrong

Let's go over this. Charlie's got better than a 50/50 shot at winning an out of court settlement on his $100,000,000 (plus punitive damages)  lawsuit which while being filed with smoke signals and morse code is basically a wrongful termination lawsuit stating that he got fired while being sick which about 100 therapists and shrinks and de-tox specialists etc etc have been fighting each other for airtime to state he is. It is after all state and federal law that you cannot be fired for being sick.  And then we've got the fact that in spite of his current case of weirdness and his past antics, everyone other than a few people at CBS actually like him. Oh yeah, by the way, his brother is a pretty well established producer and his dad don't do too bad either. Basically while he's not Tom Hanks, he's connected pretty good actually. As to his rumored money woes, Charlie's got plenty of money. 2&1/2 men is in constant reruns on 20 cable networks, his movies are on 24/7 somewhere and he's getting paid to Twit -s'cuse me Tweet (as if I care)

And lastly, as to the anti-semetic stuff, Harvey Levin and the crew at TMZ make jokes about "He's a Jew" all the time. It's a game they play. Harvey gets his laughs at his staff coming up with people who are Jews that have changed their name. They make it pretty funny and nobody gets bent out of shape so long as the religion itself is not being put down. It's not exactly like picking on a  oh gee dare I say it   a SCIENTOLOGIST  - - oh chit, Travolta and Cruise are gonna have me hunted down and shot now.
