That was a break; around here, 25 over = reckless driving and an impound.   :o

Rode it through The Three Sisters in Hill country, TX. Great scenery and riding. The sporadic downpours made it interesting at times.

Mines at dealer, having a complete service, new shoes front and rear in preparation for my Ride to CA, up the coast to OR and on up the coast to WA and then back to east TN.  16 day trip.  Planning on doing the Iron Butt 1000 in 24, and the Saddle Sore 1500 in 36 on the way home.

Pick the bike up the 24th and depart the morning of the 25th.  :coolblue:

Been trying to talk any of my riding buddies into doing a ride like what you are planning. So far no takers... All I get is 'the job is a hassle and the kids have the flu..." If I was in your neighborhood I would have asked you if I could tag along.

Ride safe and take some pictures to share with the rest of us.

Not on this one.

I will be meeting him in Red Lodge MT, after Sturgis.  He will be headed home from his trip, and I want to Ride Beartooth again after Sturgis.  So then we will do that and the ride home together.

We will be doing Bikes Blues and BBQ together this fall also.

Thanks to a head’s up & recommendation from doublerunner, I dropped my bike off yesterday to Infocus Mobile Audio in New Hampshire. Going to implement a significant audio upgrade – speakers, amp and head unit, and most importantly, get the amp fairing mounted. Spent a good deal of time speaking/planning with Justin O'Neil, the Owner of this business, and learned he also does electrical work when he has time. I’m going to have him construct a quick disconnect wiring harness, the final step to complete the tour-pak detach system. Will also have him install LED strips at the rear fillers to provide more visibility around the brake light when the tour-pak is dismounted. I planned to do this myself over the winter, but decided not to wait. Will post some images when I get the bike back next week.

Installed the George Anderson Tour Pack relocater I bought from CVO George.  Piece of cake on the 09 compared to the 06.

Still traveling home from the Road Glide GTG in Kerrville. 1300 miles in two days gives us a lazy 300 mile day tomorrow. I did have 3 friends jump on the '15 FLTRUSE bandwagon within the last 3 days. One of them may show up at New River Gorge next month.

I put over a 100 miles on mine in some of the prettiest weather yet this summer.  The tunes were good and the skies blue!

Light rain here today so now the bike is dirty. Start to hate the blue color. I think I will look into a custom paint job this winter. I suck at painting so I will have to find a good painter.
