Drove the Fatboy Sunday and was pleased to see that the new S&S lifters have indeed decreased the top end rattle. Damn that little bike is fast. 120tq

Just got done changing transmission fluid.  Good news it what came out looked great.  Went with Red Line 80W with shockproof.

Getting ready to go out and ride now.  92 degrees wish it would cool down.

Got in 50 miles, much smoother shifting, Harley clunk all but gone. Very pleased with short term results, will see long term.  Used Red Line 75 w 90 in previous bikes and was very happy.

No clue as to what was in it but knowing the history it was Done at a dealer and was a Harley product.

I am a suspicious person, sometimes unfounded, but if this indicates that you already have 2,121 miles on your last service, I would make them change it and resign for it.

I did right there on the spot, and it was also on my invoice, which I also had them change! :2vrolijk_21:

Had the 5,000 mile service completed and a new rear tire put on the bike.

On the SE LIMITED I installed a new D&D Fat Kat exhaust, T-Man air cleaner, SEPRT then smart tuned the bike.

Ride another hundred miles after work, doing break-in cycles and also PV auto tuning since I just over bored the jugs to 113.
It does feel stronger. Once I get the tune a little more dialed in it should really scream. 350mi so far

Got it all cleaned up and ready to put the Motorcycle Armor on the saddlebags tonight. Leaving in the morning for North Carolina to pick up another Bushtec. Since I was down to one I was having cold sweats.  :huepfenlol2:

Today was going to be deep clean day for my new acquisition. So as I stood looking at the bike I though they let's start under the seat its always dirty. I was right filthy cleaned right up.   Thinking what to clean next ( thinking is what got me in trouble) I opt to remove the battery and clean under it too.

Now I have had this bike for all of 2 days, one spent riding it home plus being a guy why bother to see if the owners manual has any advice on this procedure.

Why because when you unhook the battery the freak in siren and lights will wake the dead. OK now its time to get the book out and find the proper procedure for battery removal. Sure try to concentrate in the garage with all the racket. After about 10 minutes I figured it out. Cleaned under it and put it back in.

Should have had it on video, many have won Americas Funniest.  I had to look like a rooster doing its dance around a hen when the freak in alarm went off. So much for deep clean.

May need to post this in humor because now it seems funny but sure wasn't when it happened.  :huepfenlol2:
I like this, do you have video? :huepfenlol2:

Wish I did I would watch it every time I thought that I didn't need to read the instructions.  Never had that issue with my 06. When its battery died in Pennsylvania on the way to Chappys funeral.  Never even gave a single thought to the alarm on the 09.  Will look before I leap from now on.

Went to Lowes and bought two 5/16 u nuts and two 5/16 threaded knobs. Took the recalled junk off of the front saddlebag mounts and replaced with the u nuts/knobs.

Best thing you could do Mike.  I never worry about my bags falling off. I know this is the first recall from Harley but as I think back my 1995 Road King quarter turn pins used to flare out and not catch after a few times of taking the bags off. Back then I used to squeeze them back with vice grips and go on.  Tells me they have had issues forever. Bad design to have been in production so long.

Added a old N.W.T. plate. Covering up the mount for were the stock plate would be.
