Popped down to Abingdon and had a picnic by the River Thames in the sunshine.

Took part in the annual Ride to the Wall (RTTW) to remember those in the Armed Forces who have fallen in the line of duty. There were over 7000 bikes and approx 20,000 people who turned up this year to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. A very moving day as always.

Late September ride through Yosemite and the Sierras on the way to Tahoe, Reno and Street Vibrations.  Stopped at Glacier Point for this shot.

And on the way down you could hear him say, "So far so good!"   Remember, it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end.    :nervous:    Sitting on that rock couldn't be any more dangerous than riding a motorcycle in city traffic.   :huepfenlol2:

I was getting a static buzz in my left tour pack speaker, so I figured I might as well upgrade the rear 5.25" speakers with the 6.75" Kicker KCS674's.  It's a nice upgrade over the Harley junk >:( boom speakers, but probably not a serious audiophile's choice ::).  Definitely a improvement in sound! :2vrolijk_21: I haven't had a chance to try them at highway speeds, yet.

You can see the magnet size difference between the Kickers and Harley's junk.  They fit easily into the rear speaker bucket, no adapter required (drilling new holes, is).  I don't like the Kicker grills as they can easily pop out and aren't held in by a retaining ring.

About 95% there on the decision to buy-in to the 5 year ESP as the 2-year warranty on Blue lapsed back on Aug 7th.

Big chunk of change
You've probably read this thread http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=104599.0;all, or others like it, but just in case you haven't, the fine print in the ESP contract is important.

Went to a nearby airfield to see the last flight of Avro Vulcan XH558. It's the only one in the world still flying but has now been grounded by lack of funds. What an awesome sight and what a noise. It did two low passes and set off car alarms!!

That's cool.  I'd thought the last Vulcan flight happened about a year ago as remembered reading something in one of the AF rags about spares and funds running out then.  To this day still have vivid memories of the reporting early in the Falklands campaign when the Vulcans made their strike from Ascension and the little reported stories later of badly they fubar'd fuel flow calcs and nearly took a swim on the trip home.
