Believe it or not, those are not vin protected or restricted parts. Anyone can buy them.

Mike's right.  Maybe at one time they were, but now it's different.  I bought them from Boardtracker HD in Wisconsin on line, and they never batted an eye.

I rode yesterday 500miles dodging rain and hailstorms to the TX hill country to (our 10th annual ) meet up with about 40 friends and today led one of the groups on a ride on 335 & 337, Frio Canyon, the apple pie store, enjoying absolutely perfect weather!
You meet some of the coolest people on a Harley.

Swapped out the old shift linkage rod for a new one from Puzzled that says..."Screamin-Eagle".  Like you didn't know what it would say!   :P

Today I did my 1k service. Replaced the HD SYN 3 with Mobil 1 20W50 VTwin motor oil and Redline Tranny and Primary fluids.
Why? Because I have gotten great results with these in the past on my last two bikes and they work for me. Would never claim they are better but I like the products. Funny but when I was younger I never worried about these things, I just rode em like I stole em and put whatever oil fluids that were handy. Can't remember any issues then either.  ;)

Stopped a trans. leak from the exhaust mount bolts,..sorry not the best focus pic.

I had to do the same a few weeks ago, backed them out one at a time and applied Loctite.  1500 miles and still no leaks. :orange: :orange:
