Yesterday I updated the radio software.  I was unable to get it to update the dealer locations.  Rode it 140 miles yesterday and the software seems ok.  Will ride to Key West next week so it will be a good test.

Today I again tried to update the dealer locations.  Could not get it to work.  Keep getting a Navsysc Error.

Today I again tried to update the dealer locations.  Could not get it to work.  Keep getting a Navsysc Error.

After successfully installing software ver 1.20.3 I cleaned the thumb drive and extracted the dealer location zip files and placed them on the root directory.  Nothing happens. . .  I'm also looking for some help with the installation process for the dealer locations upgrade.

GullGuy, what files do you have showing in the root directory of the USB file?

GullGuy, what files do you have showing in the root directory of the USB file?

Once I extract the downloaded zip file I end up with one folder named [nng] and one file named [swdl.iso] on the root directory.   Contained in the nng folder are some folders, subfolders and files.  I even tried removing every file in every folder and subfolder and placing all files on the root.  Nothing happens.  I'm obviously doing something wrong but I can't figure out what that might be.

I am assuming that, as with the updates, the radio should recognize the update on the thumb drive and perform the installation automatically.  Yes?

Well, the only recommendation I can offer is to start fresh using the following steps...

- Reformat the USB stick using FAT32 format
- Download the Dealer Location Update from H-D site to your computer (not the USB drive)
- Unzip the zip file: Harley_POI_Maps
- Open the folder: Harley_POI_Maps
- Copy BOTH the nng folder and swdl disc image file (swdl.iso) to your USB drive
- Turn on your Infotainment system (using Accessory or turning the switch on)
- Once you accept the Warning screen, plug in the USB drive and it will load into your Infortainment system the same as the system update

No other files (e.g. zip file or other folders) should be in the root directory of the USB drive and all the sub-folders and files should remain in the nng folder. The update software is extremely picky on this point! Good luck!

. . . No other files (e.g. zip file or other folders) should be in the root directory of the USB drive . . . Good luck!

I’ve always used the same USB drive for updates and have always kept my music on the root dir.  Cleaned the drive, reloaded, and success.

SPOT on suggestion ….

Thanks a million . . . frustration over . .  .

Installed a cup holder.  Getting ready to ride out Wednesday for Fort Myers for 3 days then on to Key West for a few days.  Hope to get it washed today before the trip.
