Heated Gear Group Buy
« on: September 16, 2006, 09:35:12 PM »

Anybody know if this gear is any good.
The Warm-N-Safe heated jacket liner and the Heat-Troller already has enough orders to get the 30% discount good till September 30.
I also heard that it is made in the USA.
Check it out.

The Jacket is nice but I am after the heated gear for me & the wife.

This is farklemasters.com promotion, it is if they get 15 before the end of the month.

I think the way it works is they have 7 orders for the jacket now if they get 15 before the end of the month everyone gets 30% off as it stands with 7 ordered everyone gets 10% off.

Both the Heat-Troller and Warm-N-Safe liner are already over the 15 so everyone that orders between now and the end of the month get 30% off.

I have several friends that ordered the troller and liners. They said they seen a magazine comparison test with Gerbings and Widder the Warm-N-Safe put out more heat than the other 2 and it is all made in USA not China.

I thought maybe someone here may have them already and can say what they think about them.

Here is the Warm-N-Safe web site check it out for more information.

I'd like to order the liner and the controller.  I already have the Gerbing for myself and an extra controller.  What is the process to order on the group buy and would I need to buy their controller?  Thanks

I've never used any heated gear before. I notice they offer both SAE and coax. connectors. How do you know which to order? Does it depend by the connection at the jacket? And is the dual for heating two things, like jacket and pants or gloves?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Anybody know some answers, I sure would appreciate some education. Thanks

Gerbing uses a coax connector.

I have used HD/ Gerbings for the last 2 years and IMO would not buy a off brand. Too many HD dealers around if you may have a problem with one of the items.

Not to mention the warranty that Gerbing has.  I too use Gerbing but due to the quality of the item, have not had any need to use the warranty.  Here's several links to heated clothes and Gerbing threads....

Those threads should answer just about any questions that you might have regarding heated clothing and Gerbing in particular.......but if nothing else, will provide some interesting reading and keep you buys for many hours. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

I will say that as expensive as it was (I got the sox, pants liner, jacket liner and gloves) that it was a purchase that was well worth it.......even down in the 30's.  I've never used the pants liner or sox so I would suggest just starting with the jacket liner and gloves.

Gerbing is an excellent product.  Beware the gloves are quite bulky making it tough to push buttons or even turn the knob on the heat control.

I agree, I just bought the new Gerbing G-3 and have yet to plug them in but have used several times. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
