Mrs. We

Thanks for the tips -- gonna go with the liner, socks, pants, and g3 gloves with dual thermo.  I'll just have to make room in the left hand saddle bag with my rain gear.

I'm freezing in Houston riding in 50 deg weather... (and will be sure to take it to Nelson this summer, just in case).

Thanks,

Mark

Two,

I've heard that too so I'm getting the socks without wire in the bottom.

I rode up to Saskatoon in 05 after Sturgis for the Canadian National Hog rally in August -- It was friggin cold then, high of 38 and low of 28.  I was wearing everything in my suitecase in addition to leathers and rain gear and still froze. (it was 95 - 100 in Sturgis when we left)

It will be just me on my bike so I have lotsa space for all types of gear.  ;D

So Candy...the Gerbing pants (as opposed to the liner pants) fit close enough over the jeans to feel the warmth, even on the lower legs?  Or do you just wear them over regular long johns?  Seems the closer the thing is to your skin, the better, but I've never worn any of the stuff, so I'm an open book here...I'm curious about the fit of the pants and what you would recommend wearing under them. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Suzanne's legs get cold, as she is out in the wind more than me, particularly her legs....mine are fine next to the engine and behind the lowers.

Makes sense...pants it will be then.  Looks like they might serve well in all but an absolute downpour too.  If I got any piece for myself, it would probably be the pants.  Though the lower parts of my legs stay warm, the knees and the boys suffer greatly when it's really cold out, despite the heated seat.  The knee (right one) gets really stiff though...the boys just try and hide.   ;) :o

Two last questions:

1)  can/should you put g3 gloves and socks on one controller and jacketliner and pants on another?

2)  is there a place where you can get discount on Gerbing?

Thanks

I used the Gerbing coat liner yesterday in 40 degree weather.  Yes, we had 40 degrees in Phoenix.  The liner works great, especially nice is the element around the collar.  Anyone come up with a good place to put the controller that allows you to get to it easily while riding?  I did not want to drill a hole in the bike for a permanent mount.
