Road Glide Solution only a Short Man can appreciate.
« on: August 28, 2018, 12:27:23 PM »

I got this in my email and just about had to laugh when I looked at the video.

Of course, this is coming from a guy who's 6'4" with a 32" inseam. All my height is in my torso. For you short torso individuals, this might be just the solution for your over the windshield viewing needs.

Who you callin short?    :huepfenjump3:

I asked my mom if the Lord could give me longer legs.  She said how much longer do you want them?  They already reach from your butt to the ground... ;D

Actually, this is an interesting solution.....hmmmm....

I haven't got this problem. I know guys a foot shorter than me with 32" inseams (my size). My height comes from my torso. I have a 15" windscreen and still get some air.

It was a very straight forward number of times.  Yeah, he's selling the ease of lowering the fairing, harness and everything associated with it and cutting bits off the bike just a little too hard.

32" inseam would b nice. 28" on a good day. At least I don't have the problem with my pant legs riding up as I always have extra bunched up at my ankles. ;D

4...

....but there are A LOT of steps he skipped around on this video that don't sound like they are as straight forward as one might think.... :nixweiss:

Still, the kit did drop it 2" and it looks good lower.  Would be interested in riding one with it installed to see just how much more vision there is and how the wind flow is changed, if any.

With the 21 inch wheel it seems like I am looking over a big distance to see the road compared to a bat wing   At 5’9”  just can not get used to it.  No way I would lower that fairing.  Not sure what it would affect.   Ride? Lights? Balance.

Yaffe is very much a custom modifications guy. His whole business is built on custom bikes and custom bike parts. He's part of the Hamsters Club that includes Bruce Rossmeyer, Arlen Ness, and Dave Perowitz. I think he'd run any kind of a modification on a bike on a dare.

I do agree that the headlight positioning seems like it might be affected. It probably needs an adjustment to get it so it lights the road well.
