Ride like a pro has classes in north Alabama almost every weekend. Maybe next spring after some more practice. Just don't want to lay my RGU down as its really top heavy with anything in tour pack.
If you talk with them you will find out, even if you drop your bike which most do not, you will not hurt it.
Talking with them they use protection on the engine guard and bag guards. You are not going fast enough to go over farther than that.
I carried a towel with me, when I got to the class sight I took my bags off. Then I had pre cut pipe insulation, the type you buy at home depot to keep pipes from freezing. I had them pre made to fit my engine guars and rear bag supports as no bag guards.
This was a big help, knowing if I dropped it nothing would be scratched. I did not drop it.
I have practiced on my 15 SERGU, and you are right about top heavy. Can't quite get it as tight as the king but 22 foot box is fine, once in a while I succeed in the 20 foot box.
I have removed the rear bag guards on it as I do not like the looks and my wife wanted some on her 15 Road Glide special.
