24/37 GEAR CHANGE

(1/3) > >>

kng103:
most of the members on the forum that have gone with the six speed tranny, have changed the final gear drive to a 3.37
they have also said not to do the gear change without changing to the six speed.
the 2000 touring bikes came stock with the 3.37 gear ratio.
so my question is why do i have to change over to the six speed?

Yeah, 'er 'uh, kng103,
You don't.  I chose to install the 6-speed to pro-long the life of my Motor, hopefully.  First five are the same + Overdrive.  Hell, I wish I had an 18 speed!  Ain't much sweeter sound than a Cammed-Up Harley with a set of Rineharts, goin' through the gears! [smiley=bigok.gif]  Gas it!! [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]  Later--HUBBARD
