Anybody getting a whinning in 1st gear??

(1/7) > >>

mjb765:
I have a new SESG with about 250 miles on it and it has a whinning noise in 1st gear. As soon as I take it out of 1st and go into neutral or any other gear the noise goes away. It also has a slight drag even with the clutch pulled all ther way in. Any ideas or is this normal on a brand new bike? None of my others ever did it, but this is my first hydraulic clutch and 6 speed. :confused5:

Yeah, they all do that!!
At least you should not have the 5th gear whine.

mjb765:
Is it gonna get better with more miles?

GregKhougaz:
It will with Amsoil or Redline in the tranny......

mjb765:
Then I guess I will change it ASAP!
