Neutral Switch Hard to Hit

I have noticed in the last 3000 miles that my neutral Switch is not as easy as it used to be when I was downshifting from 2nd gear. It is easier to come back up from 1st gear into neutral but why is it getting harder to hit neutral from second?????

This info may help you get an answer:  How many total miles on the bke and what fluid do you have in the tranny?

I have 36,000+ miles and I have only used Formula Plus in the Tranny.
