It's only $94,995. What are they smoking?

Harley has been on a down hill slide for a few years.  Now they've gone from a partnership with the #1 selling truck in America for 40 years to the least selling truck.   :huepfenlol2:

But, but, but it's only $94,995! I about fell over when I read that price. Would you like a new C8 Corvette, loaded. Or a new Harley GMC pickup?.....I'll take the C8.

50k for a CVO is also outrageous! Guess I'm not with it?

Least selling? Got some data to back that up? Pretty sure they are still outselling at least the Nissan truck and probably the 'Yota as well. I'd like to know how many GMC owners would stay with the GM brand and buy a Chevy if the GMC lineup was not available. Pretty sure that number would be higher than the Furd or Dodge.

It's only money, folks.  Just a little bit down and a little bit every month.... :huepfenlol2: ;D :nervous: :huepfenjump3: :bananarock:

Purdy truck, though...wonder if that other American motorcycle company will ever partner with somebody on a truck?  Maybe Dodge???

Inquiring minds... :nixweiss:

Been a life long GMC truck guy, 7 new ones.  When I went to trade my last Crew Cab Dually 4x4 diesel GMC the dealer I bought it from said he would give me top dollar,  Asked what I wanted and I said a 1500 Denali, 4x4 with the ultimate package, a 66K truck.  He come back with 20K for my trade, and 64K for his truck.  I laughed my ass off.  Told him he had until noon the next day to come up with a realistic offer as my truck was worth more, and his truck was worth much less.

I did not go look at a chevy truck even though I have a good relationship with the chevy dealer from buying corvettes.  I went to the Ford Dealer, never having owned a Ford.  Found a nice F-150 Platinum, had more stuff than the Denali, bigger cab too.  66K for MSRP like the GMC, only 200 more MSRP.  Ford gave me 25,500 for my trade.  Ford marked their truck down to 55K.  Needless to say I am in a Ford.  I would consider another GMC, but not a Chevy.

GMC and Chevy Combined sell about the same as Ford trucks, varies year to year but not by much.

Actually, Harley Davidson licensed the rights to build a "Harley Davidson package" to Tuscany, An aftermarket conversion company.
You can get the Harley Davidson conversion on either the Ford F150 or the GMC.
I like it.
My "Screamin' Eagle" conversion was done on a Superduty by a company called Waldoch a few years ago.

Lincoln still makes a pickup? Thought that's what we were comparing??

Thanks for the Data Jerry. I retract my statement about the combined sales of GM trucks then. It still proves my point though about Chevy not being at the bottom of the sales ladder as implied earlier.

Interesting, may be looking at a Platinum in a year or 3.

As far as the GMCFrankenHarley.  Nope.

I will say that $90 plus for a pickup, no matter the affiliation, is a bit steep.  Taking into consideration that our neighboring business is our repair facility (for the local fleet) and used vehicle lot.  He just got in a 2019 GMC Denali with 700 miles...MSRP sticker is right at $70K.  He's got it on the lot for $54K...talk about depreciation.

Speaking to the GMC Harley truck, just like a standard Harley with all kinds of stuff added is still worth on what a standard Harley would be, this truck would be the same no matter how much "stuff" is added.

That 2019 next door is a purdy truck...black on black and LOADED...hmmmm  ::) )

Man, I remember buying my first new PU (F100) for about $4,200 with options.  Just looked on NADA and a 1977 is still worth more (even Low Retail) than the original MSRP.

Times sure have changed.

In my younger days, I did sale ads for dealers, remember ads featuring five new Ford Couriers, your choice $2,495 or $88 month. Those were the days. ( 73 to 74 range ). Trucks were sold for use as a truck. Basic. Imagine that!

$90K what a joke.  Go buy a $500 lift kit and slap a couple of $20 tank badges on the fenders.  Done.

If there was a CVO Harley truck it'd be a lot more than $90K.   :huepfenjump3:

Heard negotiations ended when Ford refused to make a truck that sumped and had transmission fluid migration issues.

Most Harley truck owners don't own a Harley bike......why should they not get to have the "Harley Experience"?

I hate to be a Negative Nancy here, but I could buy a base C8 and save $30k.  Or, I could buy a $90k Porsche 911.  I just can’t pay that much for a truck when there are so many fun vehicles out there for the same or less.

Nice truck, not something I want but I have been looking at a Denali and it, the way I would order it, would be close to the HD price. So whatever you want, if you can afford it then its alright. Rather have this loaded vehicle than a cheapo basic Corvette or Porsche for sure at my age the truck would be more useful.

I will agree on base, much rather loaded.  But Honestly at price point, the 3LT, Z51 2020 Stingray very well loaded is 85K.  I would much rather have it than the HD truck and have money let over.

I'm a die hard GMC truck guy.  I have had 8 new ones in 35 years.  In March of 2017 I wanted to down size from my Top of the line GMC Crew Cab diesel Dually 4x4.  It was an 2006, SLT as Denali was not in HD trucks back then, 63,000 miles on it.  Spotless truck.  Heart was set on Denali 1500 with Ulitmate package.  When to trade at dealer I bought the 2006 at.  Sales manager says he will give top dollar for my truck as it was bought there, serviced there and was low milage very good shape.  20 minutes later they came back with 20K for trade.  He also said they would go ahead and take 2000 off the 66K Denali.  I laughed.  Said, I'm leaving, I will be in a new truck by Friday, this was Tuesday.

Stopped at Ford the next day.  Told them I wanted the Equivalent to the Denali.  Showed me a nice 17 Platinum.  While testing their truck, when I got back they had apprised mine at 25K.  The platinum was 400 dollars less then the Denali.  They offered to take 7K off their truck.  Asked them to give me a day.

At home thought hard.  Take out price savings Ford had a lot more to offer.  Key-less ignition which my car, my wife's 2012, and my Harley have and the GMC did not.  Bigger infotainment screen, bigger sun roof, Much bigger cab, much nicer and bigger center console, 10 speed auto.  Tech in the GMC was way behind the Ford.

Thursday GMC dealer called and said they would give me 21K for my truck and take 3K off theirs.  I said, not even close to what Ford is offering.  You about 5K or more high.   Ill be going to Ford dealer again on 4 hours.

Went to Ford.  Told them while I really liked their truck I wanted the longer 6.5 bed, trailer tow mirrors an brown leather interior vice black.  Dealer says if you want to order I'll save you more.  So they ended up giving me 25,500 for my truck and took 9k off their truck.  Asked what was needed for a deposit, and he stuck out his hand, 5 weeks later I had exactly what I wanted.

Hopefully with the 2020 design changed GMC upped their content, electronics and features.

So if Dodge was to pair up with the other company would they call thier new truck the Arrow Edition?

Maybe. If they wished to be PC (current version of PC, it changes upon the whims of the PC police without notice) the truck would be called "First Nation Native People's Edition."
