So I just read a post from Haird and it got me to thinking about all of our screen names/handles or avatars (whatever that is)...if you care to share, what is the meaning behind your screen name?
I’ll start: mine originated from my grandfather (truck driver) when I was around 9-10 years old. He told me that when the guys on the CB used the term Sick Bird it meant they were running illegal (Ill-Eagle, corny right?) and were trying to avoid the law. So 30 some odd years later when I got my SEEG it came back to me as I often refer to my bike as the Bird. I spelled it differently b/c it was my first vanity plate for my bike and the only way it would work.
-
Well, mine means absolutely nothing, other than it’s my eBay user id, I have been thinking about changing it, but as to what I don’t know

Since I was mentioned, mine comes from a play on my Christian name, Howard. Down here in the South, and I know this may be a surprise to some of you, we have a tendency to massacre the Ainglish lainguidge. I've been called all kinds of things but most friends and relatives say Howard as Haird....hence the screen name.
The avatar is me and my best friend, sweetie and lovely bride Vickie at the Crazy Horse carving in 2013.

My screen name is related to my occupation (Firefighter)… changed the spelling a little to make it more unique. Avatar is from Killboy taken on Tale of the Dragon in '07.

Screen name WRE4U is an acronym for Wilmington Real Estate 4U which is a real estate company in Wilmington, NC that my wife and I own/run....I have definitely retired, yet she still has the passion for the business (which is Ok by me as it helps with my lifestyle) We have been married for 47 years and partners in this business for 29 years.

Well, no real story. Bought my favorite bike and planning on keeping it forever. Besides I am really stuck on YELLOW :bananarock:

Well, used to be my profession. I worked long and hard in the ER as an RN. Still an RN but, have changed over to home care. Getting too old to be an adrenaline junky.

RivRaptor is a reference to a Ford Raptor F150 that I used to travel between the Colorado River / Lake Havasu from SoCal. We refer to our self out here as river / desert people if you Offroad /Baja or boat at the river. I used this screen name for the only other online Forum / Social Media I'm involved with the Ford Raptor Forum so when I Purchased my first CVO I decided to keep it simple. Pic is with my other half who rides a 48' Sporty in Lead, SD during last years Sturgis Run.
-
Mine is simple:
First name + a previous zip code.
I am sure most everyone figured that out.
 :nixweiss:

Any guesses on mine? LOL
-
A play on CVO I said if I ever owned a dealership I’d call it ZVO Harley Davidson...z is the first initial of my last name.
My avatar is from when I first started riding and bought the skull face mask as most new riders do lol

Para Bellum means "prepare for war." It's from my motto, which is in my signature.

OBB is short for Ohiobellboy....
See below. ;)

Was 2ksoftail from 2000 -2007 when I started riding baggers. Long about 2011 decided to drop the softail as I hadn't had a non-bag since. 2k stuck pretty good and now most call me Jimmy 2k. Was once well known for my avatar pics until I got tired of fighting Fired00d, the internets police. Fighting fires wasn't enough for him, lol. He sharpens his magic eraser and has it ready anytime I log on.

i think many already know this but way back in the early days of the internet i used the nickname martian. started running into other people using the same so i flipped it to naitram. the day i saw another naitram online i registered naitram.net domain name have been using naitram online for over 20 yrs now.
the image has change a bit over the years from just marvin to a willie G skull inspired version

My Local Biker name is "Ace" given to me by an old school biker back in 1993. It wasn't ment as a compliment back then, Sort of like: "Way to go Ace", like I did something wrong. I embraced the name mostly because I play in a Rock band and we play a lot of KISS music. Lol. The Vtwin part is obvious.
My avatar is my Custom "Screamin Eagle" F250 Super Duty and my Current CVO.

I am a retired sprint car owner / driver / crew chief but still love them and follow them all over the nation. For an old fart I am still a kid at heart.

When I look in the mirror, I see a 28 year old stud, with a flat stomach, lots of hair, and the ability to have sex 4 times a night---on demand. Need I say more!!!!

Diet coke through the nostrils in that one. Thanks for the laugh.

One glance at my avatar should explain both.
When I was first getting on forums I needed a screen name and as I had just put down my long time Malamute buddy Trapper, that’s what came to me. No too creative but it’s stuck and easy to remember on over a dozen forums I belong to
-
Talk about not being creative, Rayson is my last name which I've also run as my personalized plate on my bikes since the mid 80s. It's also a homonym for racing. 1956 is the year that I was born so "rayson56", I know pretty lame, huh? Of coarse I'm sure most of you figured out what it was already.
This is a pretty cool thread. Kind of a way to get to know some of you a little better. Keep it going!

I initially misread this as "DessertHOG" which would likely mean something completely different LOL.

I got so drunk in Key West at the Hogbreath saloon, I forgot where I left my bike.

20 years ago was already using the name iskifreely (I ski freely) on some message boards, was shortened to iski shortly after I arrived here in 2007 by a fellow who doesn't post here anymore, named Hoist.
Pondered a time or 2 about changing it to iskibubba, but there is enough confusion here already. ;)
Avatar is self explanatory.

1st two initials of my name

I've spent the last 34 years doing vibration testing. About 20 years ago one of my bosses started calling me JoeVibe and I thought it would make a cool screen name. I think it's the only one I've ever used.
The avatar was taken during one of my first rides across the Cherohala Skyway. Still one of my favorite pictures and memories.
-
I have been a police officer for 23 years, a big chunk of it assigned to our traffic division riding a Harley. My radio designation was Motor 1. Wound up getting promoted a few times, and with it came changes in responsibility, so very little time on the police motorcycle nowadays. I am still in charge of the motor unit but a few of my guys get all the fun.
My avatar is a picture of my wife and I in front of Harley headquarters for the 105th anniversary celebration.
-
really no explanation here. just one of my favorite bikes to ride. sure wish I'd been ridin' it on Apr 1, might not have been wearin' a moon boot for 3 mo acting like astro- nut. just haven't changed it to anything for 12cvo ultra.

Did you ever find that bike? :drink:
-
Screen name arrived from way back in 82 it was the last time I had a Electra Glide or any bike and I always said to myself that I going to have another one some day.
Then 4 year's before I was to retire I said I'm going to have a Electra Glide for my retirement, I've waited long enough.
Well it was a long time coming and I thought to myself at last I've got my Electra Glide again. The CVO was a little added sugar.
So there you have it, Longlast ;D

I'm a metallurgical engineer and always tell people I became an engineer because nobody cares if you can spell or know proper English. Hence the obvious, IRNEngineer = I am an engineer.
My avatar is my '16 FLHXSE.
