Title: 2019 Passenger Pillion fender gouge ...
Post by: TIF2 on November 26, 2018, 11:28:44 AM
Pulled my seat off yesterday to re-route the battery tender lead and noticed a gouge in the rear fender paint.
After measuring turns out it lines up EXACTLY with the bolt head of the front (towards the bike) of the mount tab.

Anyone else noticed this or have this problem?

Definitely came from the mount tab bolt.

I would be asking my dealer about that for sure... Something not right there as you should be able to go with a solo seat within minutes as advertised, and I'm sure you wouldn't want that glaring up at you every time you get on and off.

They should fix that 100%.

Good luck.

You made me go out and look at mine.  I have not had the Passenger Seat off yet.   It is not gouged.   They are gonna have to replace your rear fender.  I agree with above -  You should be able to remove and ride solo.

On a side note:  I noticed that the guide slots on the passenger pillion that slide into "Frankenstein" bolts for the Frt Seat are metal on this bike.    On my 2016 CVO pillion it was Plastic.

Dealer is replacing both the rear fender and the passenger pillion.
They pulled the pillion off of a '19 SG and the way the mount tab is bolted to the pillion on mine is different.

Must have been assembled on a Friday at 4 in the afternoon ....

Get This!  My bike had a black saddle bag release handle on the left side and a chrome handle on the right side!  Had to have it replaced under warranty.    Another Friday afternoon bike??

Hey Mike!!

I completely ran out of things to do to the 2011 SG so took a hiatus for a while. Got the new bike so it feels good to be back. My wallet HATES it though :)

Hope you been good ... got to get together again!!
