Title: 04 se deuce
Post by: txracer on August 21, 2009, 08:21:20 AM
Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie.. Been looking for a deuce for my wife for a while. Bid on a couple on ebay but lost them.
Anyway, I ran across a bank repo with 21,000 miles. What kind of offer should i put up on this repo? I'm guessing retail should be around 11- 12,500.  It's about 100 miles away and auction is Monday. All i have is a vague description with low quality pictures. So really don't know how clean this bike is!

I'm open to any comments, suggestions or thoughts

Thanks Txracer

Maybe this will help:  NadaBluebookValue (http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-23-38-5697-0-0-0&l=1&w=23&p=38&f=5698&m=0118&d=1200016146&y=2004&ml=H&gc=MC&gtc=MC)

Motorcycle Model:  FXSTDSE2 SCREAMIN' EAGLE
Piston Displacement (CCs):  1550
Stroke:  4
Cylinders:  2
Speeds:  5
Dry Weight:  687

                                      Low Retail    Average Retail
 Base Price
                                        $13,720     $17,145

Value Explanations

Prices shown are retail consumer values and are to be considered as selling prices. Trade-in values are to be determined by local dealers and are generally lower than values shown.

Suggested List — The manufacturer’s (distributors) highest suggested list price in the U.S.A. when the unit was new. Unless indicated, the suggested list price does not include destination charges, dealer set-up, state or local taxes, license tags or insurance.

Low Retail Value — A low retail unit may have extensive wear and tear. Body parts may have dents and blemishes. The buyer can expect to invest in cosmetic and/or mechanical work. This vehicle should be in safe running order. Low retail vehicles usually are not found on dealer lots. Low Retail is not trade-in value.

Average Retail Value — An average retail unit should be clean without obvious defects. All rubber and cables should be in good condition. The paint should match and have a good finish. All lights and switches should work properly. The mileage should be within or slightly higher than the average range. This unit should also pass any emission inspection.

 Origial (2004)  Suggested List: $26,995

How could you ever put a price on your wife's happiness?

Remember, "if momma not happy, nobody is happy".

Go on, buy it for the little lady - at any price!

The rewards will last at longer than a few bucks in your pocket.

Would'nt let the mileage bother me, have an 04 myself in Cobalt and Black, have turned down 20K Twice! I'd say anything 16,500.00 or less would be a deal espcially if the bike is clean with no scratches.
