For those trying to keep that BSR happy with winter approaching.... From Motorcycle-USA.com yesterday:
"The new Sun Ray Heated King Tour-Pak Backrest Pad (P/N 54387-11 Comfort Stitch, P/N 54388-11 Smooth; $349.95) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories features a convenient high/low/off toggle control that directs two levels of soothing warmth to a passenger’s lower back area. This one-piece pad with integrated heat element and thermostatic control system is simple to install, and the heating element is switched off with the ignition to avoid draining the battery. Available in Smooth or Comfort Stitch styles, this pad can be teamed with a Sun Ray or Harley Hammock heated seat for the ultimate in back and bottom comfort. Add a pair of thermostatically controlled Black Rubber Heated Hand Grips (P/N 56100034, $169.95) for additional cool-weather touring comfort.
The Sun Ray Heated King Tour-Pak Backrest Pad fits 1997-later Touring and Trike models equipped with a King Tour-Pak. Models not equipped with a Tour-Pak Lower Backrest Pad require a separate purchase of one (P/N 52400020 $39.95)."
Posted here as it's "heated gear."

Interested to hear if anyone has bought the heated backrest yet and how well it works.

If my wife had one of those, it could be 100 degrees out, and she'd have it fired up... :huepfenlol2:
(Seriously, she would...)

My wife can't decide wether she's hot or cold but you can be sure it'll be one or the other.....there's no neutral. :nixweiss:
Greg, you going to be doing a show & tell this weekend?

So why should your BSR be different than ours? Mine would put on a sweatshirt if she was on the sun... :D

Mine resembles that remark! ;D
When we shop for her vehicles, she has only three requirements... Red color, 4 wheel drive, and heated seats. Everything else is immaterial... :P

The wife just told me not to get too attached to the new bike unless we can get it with the CVO covering.
-
...Looks like I'll be ordering the heated backrest also, showed it to BSR but knew what her answer would be, her response "we need one of those". She has the heated seat on most of the time anyway.
-
Have considered adding the Heat Demon pads to my backrests - that's as far as I got though - just considering.

BSR said we are getting one of those!
