Lowering the Glide

Gonna put the premium progressive lowering kit in the front tomorrow. And going to put the adjustable premium shocks like comes on the street glides on the rear. After putting my 21,18 wheels on,the bike is just to hard to get on and off for this short guy.
Has anyone done this? If so how does it ride afterwards?
