Welcome aboard from the Ozark Mountains of north Arkansas!
We're glad to have you with us, and I have to say, you made a good choice on your scooter!
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it after you've put a few thousand miles on her, especially in view of the fact your other big bike is a BMW.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it after you've put a few thousand miles on her, especially in view of the fact your other big bike is a BMW.

Couldn't help making mental comparison notes between the two, CVO RGU and BMW R1200RT, in the first 1K mile break in period over the weekend. The BMW is 570 lbs wet 110 hp and 90#/ft of torque. It is lithe, agile, fast, powerful, and handles extremely well. It is the epitome of sport touring on steroids with 500+ pound load capacity. I have traveled all over Europe with the beemer and it is a highly capable and comfortable sport touring machine. The only downside is that it feels like I'm sitting on the top of the motorcycle.

The CVO RGU feels like I'm riding a walrus on steroids. It is 950 lbs wet 115 hp and 95#/ft of torque. The hp to weight ratio is nowhere near the BMW.  The general handling lugs and wallows in and around corners and over bumps. Somewhat luxurious and comfortable highway chomping cruiser. It would be defined as filling a luxurious touring cruiser. It does not have the high sport touring tolerances as the beemer. As for cruising in comfort, style, and for enjoying the scenery, the CVO RGU does all this and more in spades. The straddling position is more like sitting in the bike rather than on top of it like the beemer. What I like best about the CVO is the roll on torque, sound, exclusivity, style appeal, and comfort.

It's not to say one is better or worse then the other. Each bike fills a unique purpose. The BMW is about pushing the limits of sport touring capability and banking curves with some adrenaline rush in the mix, and the CVO is about luxury touring with class appeal and enjoying the scenery. Each fills a unique niche and they each do it well.

The Road Kink is a street cruiser. Eventually it will have a solo seat and no windshield with side drag pipes. Very happy with all three bikes.
