2019 CVO Key Fob disconnect and reconnect while riding Help
« on: August 05, 2023, 11:01:30 AM »

Guys, could use some help please. My 2019 CVO Streetglide is slow to connect to either of the two key fobs at times. I replaced both the key fob batteries and no difference. I checked the connection to the security antenna and no moisture dirt or corrosion in the connection.  I have replaced the motorcycle battery. While I am riding, no rhyme or reason the red no key pops up and goes away. Has nothing to do with shock from bumps or anything.  Since it’s both key fobs and no codes present I am thinking of replacing the security antenna. Am I on the correct path here?
Thanks for the help!

Your troubleshooting seems to rule out the fobs and the antenna corrosion as the source.

The Security Module is more likely to be the problem, rather than the antenna (unless they are a one-piece unit).  I would check for loose or corroded connections at the module and downstream from it.

IIRC, the $tealer has to "flash" a new security module to your bike/fobs.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and ordered a new security antenna since they were only 25.00 bucks and it got here today. Going to give it a try Sunday then continue to work my way back if that doesn't work.
