I've been reading this page for about a month and I feel like I know some of you already. Finally I decided to sign up and join the fun.

My name's Damon, I'm 28 and I live in southern Maryland. I've been riding Harleys since before I can remember. I recently got a 2008 CVO Springer and I'm enjoying in immensely. If anybody wants to get together and ride, please feel free to get in touch. It's rare that a day goes by and I'm not on my bike.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better, and hopefully we get a chance to meet in person at some point.

Welcome to the site glad to have you join us.

Several members in your area (MD/DC/NoVa & Va) hopefully we'll be able to meet on the road sometime. BTW you may want to post some pics of your bike to avoid someone giving you this...

I don't have any of the bike in the current configuration. Basically it looks like a stock Black Diamond SE Springer with Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered pipes. I have some of it with the stock exhaust, but now you've motivated me to take a couple shots of it with the new pipes. I'll get them up here asap!

It's good news that there are other members of the group nearby.

Quick question about the message board. How do you quote from other posts that you're responding to?

I sold my soul and my 2005 Wide Glide to get this bike. I love it so much that is was worth it. I put off buying a house for this thing. Every morning when I get on it to go to work I know I made the right choice

Now you're just living the life I fantasized about! I had to wait for a mid life crisis (lost a brother to a sudden MI last year) to justify it........ Congratulations.

On your way to Michigan be sure to swing through western NY. Everyone should see Niagara Falls once (it's only 1/2 hr away). We have another member here (Harleyteam) who can practically see it.

I've been to Niagra once, but I wouldn't mind going again. I had a blast there. I had a helluva time following speed limits, though. I tried to look at the little kph numbers on the inner ring, but I found myself following the good ole mph numbers 99% of the time. It's a miracle I didn't get a Canadian speeding ticket!

I'm so sorry about your brother. I don't understand the whole midlife crisis thing, though. If you have the money, and it makes you happy, then go for it! I certainly wouldn't call that a crisis. If you're enjoying the bike then it's worth it, right?

I'd like to see Cleveland one of these days. Although I'm a die hard Steelers fan, originally from Pittsburgh, I still have a certain respect for Cleveland. I'm pulling for the Indians in the ALCS. I would love to see you guys despose of the Red Sox!
