Glad to be a part of the community. I bought a used 07 FXSTSSE last month with 1800 miles from a HD dealer in Wisconsin. It was a deal I could not pass up. Daily Direct finally delivered it Sunday. I immediately started with the wrenches and installed V&H Big Radius pipes, Fuelpak, Aux lighting kit, and the HD Detachable Windshield. The pipes really make the bike and they are LOUD. At a minimum I should be easier to see and hear.

The bad news is I took it in for a 1000 mile service today (I noticed oil mist around the head gasket when I took the pipes off) and everything was cool EXCEPT they said I had the dreaded 110c.i. head gasket leak. They ordered a gasket and will repair it under warranty. I guess I should buy the extended warranty based on all the issues that surround the 110 SE engines. One of the mechanics suggested that I should go with larger valves and some head work while its down since HD is picking up the tab for removing the heads. He said it should provide even more power although I don't know if I really need more.

All in all though, even with the problems, I love this bike!

Welcome. I have not been here long but I am finding good people and good information here. As for extended warranty. i bought it, used it and it has paid for itself within 6 months of activation.
