ok i have installed the new push rods with 3 full turns and i still have the noise, i couldn't afford to go with new lifters yet cash flow is nill, so but here it is when i rev it up between 1800 and 2100 rpm is when it gets louder then smoothes out any suggestionsi think i should go with the new lifters as soon as $ comes available :-\

Why are you just changing parts until you know what's causin the problem? If you have a noise and suspect the engine, I'd be tearing it down til I found the problem, not changing parts til it goes away. Everyone here is giving you advice on the possibilties of what's wrong. But until someone hears it and troubleshoots it, it's just a guess based on what's wriiten here. Not enough info here to properly diagnose it. Troubleshoot it, then fix it. Or you could be looking at a lot more $$$ than a set of lifters! JMO man! ;)
