I^m just back a few hours from my 6278.3km round trip from zurich to the super rally in finland and back to zurich

took in switzerland,germany,holland,germany,denmark,sweden,finland  3060.3km to rally entrance

farthest day was 960km in 11hours from start to finish venlo in holland to malmo in sweden via germany n denmark  inclusive of gas stops and lunch at burger king   thats an average 86km/h  and i`m not complaining about the stock '07 seat

return trip was  finland sweden denmark germany holland belguim luxemburg france switzerland

I think if I was on that particular ride with you that I would have been able to enjoy a bed of nails for a seat! NICE RIDE! I'm sure my butt would be anatomically altered permanently after that.

I put a Harley Sundowner on my 07' CVO Dyna when I ride two up with the Wife and She has no complaints. It is much more comfy for Me and Her on long rides . She couldn't take much more than 50 miles on the stock seat. When Momma's happy everybody's happy right?

The original Dunlop lasted 7,000 miles, the Metzeler in the picture lasted 11,500 miles
I love them as long as they are balanced correctly, see the middle picture showing the incorrect weights on the rim!!!!
That is what caused the bead to wear through on one side of the tire, about two foot long! Not around the whole tire!

I was able to try the HD Brawler seat on my 07 FXSTSSE. It fit and fit nice. You only have to relocate the rear seat attachment screw forward. The hole is already there. Just unclasp and move it and install the hole insert plug the the rear hole. It gives the bike a new look.

Does anyone have a picture of the stock seat?  As I mentioned in my intro thread, I'm still learning about the bike and all the features, but I'm guessing my seat is the stock seat.  It has the three ribs in it that continue from the speedo/tank cover all the way to the passenger seat, and the entire seat is one piece.

Surprisingly, I found this seat to be completely comfortable.  In my travels thus far (1800+ miles in 6 days) I was averaging about 120-140 miles in between stops and it was the soreness and knots in my shoulders that made me want to stop, not my rear.  Which really surprised me since on my last ride I had a super comfy Mustang seat.

What I'd like to find, though, is an old style solo spring seat, like what's on the new Crossbones.  Except unlike the Crossbones I don't want to feel as if I'm about to be vaulted over the handlebars because it sits you up so damn high.

And finally, how is the stock seat on the '09?  I really like the look of the CVO stitching.

If you can enlarge my profile picture you will see the stock seat. While I was home this last time I rode about 1,500 miles total. Every Chance I got to ride. I also have a 01 Roadking that had some mile put on it.
