On my 07, I had both front and rear replaced with the stock Dunlops this spring, the tread pattern is reversed between the two tyres, the front is D408 while the rear is D407, I have ridden about 6000Km since replacement and am now noticing a whining noise coming from the rear, I cant make out if its coming the the tyre or whether its the wheel bearing, there seems to be no excessive wear in the tread and the rear wheel remains stable, the tone of the whine changes a little with speed but remains constant in different gears, I am not unduly worried about this noise yet and will have it checked at the next sheduled service, I have found this set of tyres to be very slippery both front and back and so will be changing tyre manufacturer next time!
I run Metzler on my Dyna but have found them to wear very quickly on long haul freeway trips.
