I just took a trip from Tuesday last week up to yesterday morning.  There were a number of occasions the GPS would shut off, and then request selecting the option to stay on using battery.  Then the power would reconnect and it would cycle over and over. I found this to be very distracting. It was intermittant and there was no ryme or reason.  Today, to and from work, it worked great.

What I'd like to figure out, whether it is the connection, or is it within the unit itself?

What are others experience?

Will this correct with the HD Chrome mount?  I like the looks of the HD mount.

My Zumo 550 would switch off intermitantly Eagleye. I fixed it by using an erasure to clean up the contacts between the housing and the 550. But vibration does play havoc with the GPS. A few riders I know use the Touratech antivibration mount and this does help with the 550 and 660 switching off.
