Wetbox Marine Speaker Lids
« on: January 19, 2012, 09:03:12 AM »

Has anyone heard of or dealt with Wetbox Marine out of Modesto, CA?  Reason asking is I am still searching one what direction I want to go on upgrading my speakers and I came across their lids on Ebay.  These lids are unique as they hold a 6X9 and a 6.5 in each lid. They are $299.95/Free shipping for the pair which is $100 cheaper than Cycle Sound and about $30 more than the factory Harley lids.  They do have a 100% feedback on Ebay with 67 reviews.

Any inputs?

Aside from the fact they are manufactured by wet box there are very little details. What kind of water proofing do they have? The bagger audio ones come with a waterproof barrier. Do these? Thats allot of speaker in a bag! I have heard the 6x9" with a 100watt amp and they cranked. I am questioning weather you need 2 speakers in the bag. I guess too much still isn't enough! LOL I did a google search and did not find much but ebay. The mfg. does not have a web site and uses an ebay store. Not sure about that? Good luck FACE

I have the Cycle Sound lids and they are great. The  6 X 9 is plenty of speaker, not sure why you would need or even want the 6.5". Maybe for a sub woofer if you can get it that small. You would also need a bigger amp to power the second pair of speakers.
