hogasm,
Yes, this is fantastic for the left ear, which hasn't worked since 1996.
On the question of 2 wheels, it was recommended to check balance issues that come with Meniere's Disease. I think since 1996, I have been compensating for the lost of the left ear. I've tested the balance in the garage with the CVO running. I think it is manageable. The surgeon thinks I can get a handle on the balance. This was before the Sept. 12th surgery.
Great to "hear" from you.  :drink:  :drink:  :2vrolijk_21:

Vagabond, Your story has touched me and I consider you a "hero" for your perseverance in battling Meniere's Disease. I wish you continued success and my prayers are sent your way.  Soon you will be back on your MC and I'm sure in the future our path's will cross in MV.

LovemyCVOgirl,
Thank you for your comment, in the perseverance department, I'm only doing what has to been done in order to maintain "normal".

Hadn't noticed the new activity (in your thread or your head) George.  That's great.  Really pleased to read of the progress even if there is some fine tuning yet to do.  Keep feeling better man.

Twolanerider,
Thank you for the positive response. It has been an ongoing situation with the Implant. Someday, who knows, I might be able to hear Bach again. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Mike,
Thank you for your prayers, they have been appreciated. So far, this has been a battle that took exteme measures to correct. Now I have a "bionic ear" due to the implant.

Update: Conferred with the surgeon, implant receptacle didn't move. that was great news.
The third tuning improved the tonal quality,but, it is still not a normal sounding quality. There are parameters' to consider.

For the Tech Buffs;

Incorrect on the number of electrodes, there are 12 instead of 7.
They do not handle frequency as expected. Each electrode is assigned in a logarithmic fashion than in linear fashion in the set of frequencies that it transmit to the Cochlear. This medical marvel has not been explored to gain maximum clarity in speech recognition to the human brain.  They are still learning at UNC Chapel Hill, NC.
