What do the saddle bags attach to? And what support them? I have my bike back from the shop and will take some pics of the saddle bag support bracket made for our type FXR's and of the custom work that Ron Harper did so I can throw the saddle bags over the seat and slip the metal support into the back of the bags.

My support brackets are chrome, roughly a leaning "U" shape, and run from a bolt on the frame gusset to the attaching bolt at the center of the fender support.

The front bolt location as shown in the picture above will not work on an FXR3 uless you change the custom side panel. I found supports that bolt to the shock bolt in front and the same bolt location in the back as shown in the pic above. The "U shape" support itself covers about the same area as shown.

I'll put the part number out as soon as I can find it!
