A good dyno tuner will use every gear before he is finished, 1 to 1 for final pulls.

Just had a client contact us Friday last week from Yulee, Fla.(where is Yulee??) that has our heads/107"/Wood 888/55HPI/RB pipe.
He alerted us that it went off at 121/124, on what he refered to as a "stingy" dyno at his local H-D store.

This would be my ride you're referring to, and yes a 5th gear run on a stingy dyno is correct. But whats with the Yulee Fla?? check your paperwork, it's Sarasota Fl...no biggie. Thanks again for killer headwork and timely service! For anyone out there wondering, this is an unbelievable combo for a 107ci and as we all know Scott and Hillside are TOP NOTCH!  THANKS!!  :2vrolijk_21:

Yep,
Just sent a job to Yulee, that Doc tuned, and just can't keep track of all the locations that we ship to. :D
It was a pleasure to do that work for you, David.  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

David,
So your bike was tuned in 5th gear, being a 6 speed, and it still pushed off 121/124, sae?
I'd say there is more in that, that has yet to be exposed. :2vrolijk_21:
Very curious as to the actual power of that engine, if in fact the correct, 6th gear, was used?

Good point, and as you may know some HD shops can be set on there way of running the dyno. Without being too demanding I had to request even a 5th gear pull as they just hit it in 4th usually, the 6th would have come off even better but maybe there's a top speed issue on that dyno who knows? Had to struggle with service mgr to have my A/F ratio set where i wanted it too, (they go WOT@ 13.8..too lean for my taste), went with 13-13.2. So after all that when the sheet came out in STD when cashing out I didn't have the heart to request the SAE. Anyhow I figure the SAE reading in 6th is probably right around the numbers posted above. You know this 107 came only 2-3 points away from there top prize 120R fully built out motor dyno pulls. So I would say KUDOS for our build! May get it on another dyno eventually to pull it in 6th with SAE correction, but like I've said this particular dyno has read 4-5 points lower than another I used testing the exact same combo on my other ride. Maybe I'll take a joy ride out to Doc's soon for a few pulls and let the dyno experi :bananarock:ment continue...

Anyone else install this cam?  I am considering a build with the TW-888.  Thanks!

Any dyno numbers on the 222 wood cam?
This is my 2010 SEUC with a Heavy Breather, SESPT, Reinhart True Duals and Mufflers, and 222's. I'm not real excited with the Dyno results, so I'll have to wait until warmer weather to see if the bike performs better than the Dyno Sheet. Dealer said that they tuned the bike with 10% load, to simulate a more real riding condition.

I know that Okoboji Harley-Davidson, has a good dyno man.
Might want to give those folks a call?

Christian at Okoboji and Beaver at Ernies Harley Davidson are two good tuners for you.

I've heard the the boys have been trained by a good teacher. My concerns are how much experience they have and the fact that they have been trained on a TTS not a SE tuner. I live 50 miles from the Okoboji shop and 80 miles from the Algona shop and am familiar with one of the boys you speak of. I want to make sure the next time I spend money, I'm satisfied with the results.

I can vouch for Christians passion to do your bike correctly.....if he would run into something that was a stumper he would be sure to contact me like he has in the past. You won't find anyone better in your area and thats for sure.
