Clearview windshield for the 14's
« on: April 02, 2014, 03:13:00 PM »

I just installed a new windshield from Clearview Shields on my 14 FLHTK. Posting some photos so anyone interested can view. This is a new recurve shape from Clearview. I went with the Medium size, its extremely close to the size of the original, I would estimate within a 1/4" taller. It is also slightly wider. Fits perfect in the fairing side to side. The recurve is less radical than the one they offered in the past, you can look thru without a problem. This is a "smoke" tint with recurve. Have not had the chance to ride for any distance but fully expect a positive outcome. I was pretty happy with the stock shield.

I have the same windshield for my limited. I took it off and went back to the stock shield. May just be me but it just felt different in the wind with the clearview. Might just been my imagination. I have it forsale if anyone wants it. On the bike a week.

so exactly what was wrong with the stock shield?  feels real good to me, or did you just get roped into having to change something? :nixweiss:

I was generally happy with the stock shield. To me, the Clearview looks a lot better and to a smaller extent moves the air stream up. I really like it.
