2024 RG CVO tuner options

(1/1)

MDillon:
I am putting Sawicki Speed 2into1 full length exhaust and Arlen Ness Method air intake on my CVO.
Wondering if I need to do tune...... Have heard don't need with stage 1 upgrade on the CVOs
If I need to tune am looking at Thundermax or SE with auto tune.
Opinions? Experiences?
Thanks

kojak:
Changing a full exhaust is not a stage one, you absolutely need a tune. Thundermax is finicky with the new cvo’s. I’ve generally stayed with the SE tuner and HD components due to warranty concerns but I’m sure there are other good options for you. Checkout fuelmoto, lots of great info there.

FLSTFI Dave:
If the exhaust and air cleaner are all you are doing the SE tuner will be fine.  It will not flag the bike and void warranty when dealer connects to it.

If at a later date you plan on Cam, head work, big bore or so on skip the SE.  TTS is the best tuner at the moment for the CVO with VVT.  Power Vision is a close second.  Aftermarket is just now being able to crack the code to do everything including the VE tables

MDillon:
Thanks for the info guys.
