Ha, ha, ha....I thought I was the only one with the ill fitting short sissy! I simply loosened up the top and bottom shock nuts on that right side. I was able to get the clearance I needed and then tightened the shock nuts snug. And I also chucked that first washer on the 4pnt bracket. All worked nicely finally...then attached the "Stealth" rack. WoW! lookin' good  :)

Every HD I've had, I've had a sissy that didn't exactly dock right.  But now I understand maybe why...  Probably because I've never bothered to install and therefore read the instructions myself.

quick detatch siisy bar?
« Reply #17 on: June 30, 2015, 05:12:07 PM »

On a 2015 CVO Street glide.... is it possible to turn the right side shock upside down?? Reason for this is that the bracket for the sissy bar doesn't want to go into the quick detach mount. It hits the top of the shock. The dealer said to turn it over. Anyone done this before? Or is there a better solution? It's the right part number if curious.
Thanks again

This has been discussed before (merged your post w/existing thread)... read posts prior to yours and there is another thread referenced above too (Passenger Backrest Fitment and Rear Shocks).
