Wow, what a nice reception! New friends from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, France and many states in the US! Thanks for the kind words and new acronyms. OCD is an accurate diagnosis indeed! I find myself staring at the Kuryakyn and Harley catalogs looking for something else I can install, cover or slather with chrome. My latest fetish is getting that touch of gold on things. I'll post some photos in a few days of some mods I've been working on. I don't know jack about about the mechanicals other than this feels faster than that but I am obsessed with the look of the bike.

Someone asked how my wife now feels about the bike. I didn't mention the final negotiations leading up to the big purchase. They included the purchase of a scoot (S50 Suzuki cruiser) for her as well. This is the second time in our 26 years of marriage this has happened. 25 years ago it was a 400cc Yamaha Maxim for her so I could get a 650cc Yamaha Maxim. This time it cost me a bit more, although maybe not if you figure in the time value of money (anything to justify the toys). She finished her 2 1/2 day safety course 3 weeks ago and now she can't get out and ride enough. Good thing for the second bike, as the passenger pillion on the wide glide is meant more for decoration than actual seating (it's like sitting on a suppository).  I did order a custom Corbin touring seat for more comfortable 2 up riding while I was out at Sturgis. Would have liked a Mustang but didn't want to change the tan leather to black and Mustang only makes black. Not sure how much my wife will ride 2 up but I want her to know she has a soft spot on my bike if she wants it.

Had a nice ride this afternoon. Great weather here for a change although you can feel the beginnings of fall. Cooler mornings and evenings. Should be some great riding throughout the area as the fall colors come out. Looking forward to experiencing the sights, sounds and scents!

All for now.

i've always had a special place in my heart for the DWG.

In fact if I were to have a 3rd bike I'd want a CVO DWG as I just love 'em.

Congrats on the sled and welcome to the site.

Yeah, he's going to fit right in here....

Welcome aboard.  Also, just an FYI, there is a real asshole around here with a thing for red bikes.  DWGs like yours are one of his lust objects.  So don't leave it unlocked with your back turned.  This guy just can't be trusted.

would that be you..or me?
