Stock Handlebar replacement - 1 1/4"
« on: December 17, 2005, 03:38:56 AM »

Hi All,

I purchased a FXDWG3 about a month ago.  I love the bike!!  I'll post some pictures soon of my bike. [smiley=banana.gif] This website should be a great place to discuss FXDWG3 specific content.

Anyway, I love most things that came stock on the FXDWG3.  However, one thing I want to change is the handlebars.  I like the set-up of the stockers with respect to rise, pullback, and width....I like the position they put you in.  However, I want to go to a 1 1/4" bar with an internal wiring set-up.

So, what I'm looking for is something very close to the stock bar but 1 1/4" or possibly 1 1/2".  Anyone have any suggestions?  I saw the picture of Buffy's Carlini Clean Sweeps and they look nice, but I'm looking so something that emulates the stock bar profile.

I checked out Drag Specialities and J&P but didn't see anything that was real close.  But, then again, I don't find it real easy to accurately measure the stock width, rise, and pullback on the bar fully installed on the  bike.

Any suggestions would be great.
