Well for 2009, I already have 1 event planned.  Thinking of a 2nd one.  Then I will have to take my wife on a vacation after doing 2 bike trips (at least 1 of which will be without her :P) Plus, I am sure I will continue to spend countless hours in front of the computer doing posting, chatting and  :drink: :drink: :drink:

You all that ride all year long will push me over the edge and I will move somewhere warm, where I will ride all the time, eventually getting a divorce and having no money with only my bike and a crappy single wide trailer in the south :bigcry:.  But hey, I will still have you guys, my friends.

So, why couldn't you guys be a$$holes likes all the folks on the other forums??? :soapbox: :soapbox: :soapbox:

The GTG's are really taking off here. I did at least 6 things last year with Members I've met here. This year now, at least that many. Party here in Jan. IMS in NYC in Jan too. V-Twin Expo in Feb. ES and CHL in May. Adirondacks in June. Clambake in July, Aug, or Sept. Fall run at Neal's in Oct. And I bet I already forgot a few! :o

This place has become a major part of our lives. Besides being able to find out EVERYTHING about my CVO's here, get discounts on stuff from places I never knew existed, and pretty much anything else related to my bikes, the social aspect has become just as important. We've met many, many members over the past coupla years, and have made many life long friends as a result. People from all over the country, and the world, have invited us to stay in their homes. And we've also done the same for members wishing to come to NYC. The relationships made here can't be replaced or made as easily elswhere! ;)

So bottom line is, I LOVE THIS PLACE, and don't know how I got along without it before!!!

Thanks Neal, and all the mods for making, and keeping this place great!!! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I would love to come to that area.  I bet it is really beautiful.  I will have to get a trailer to make that trek.  I'm too fat and out of shape to do those 1,000 mile days that some of you guys do.  I will need to do that sometime when I have some serious time off so I can really enjoy the area.  Or take several days to ride out and back and check the scenery along the way.  Anyway, you bet at some point I want to make that trip.

The 2008 Maggie Valley GTG was about the highlight of the year for us. Thanks to Chip & Nancy (onion ring bandit) for their efforts of organizing it, and all the members that took time off to be there.  A special thanks to Brian 103 for organizing the Event in 2004-2006. The legend lives on. :2vrolijk_21:
I think that anyone that has made any of the MV events should have enough good memories to last a lifetime.

Thank you Dave for higlighting this.  Yes, for our small family, this was one of the highlights for 2008.  Chip and Nancy, thank you for all your efforts.  Brian, for all your efforts starting this tradition, and I am thankful I have shared quite a few of those with all, this locale definately has great memories that will indeed last my lifetime.  I can honestly sit at a breakfast table with our HOG chapter and speak with confidence about the area to a member who is still dreaming about going.
