Happening since I installed it. Rich
Might just be the cradle then. I'd still check all my wires then give Garmin a call if everything is intact.

Hello, Take a look at pics.  I used the Techmount Handlebar Mount #30999MC and Techmount Quick Change Adapter # 60003.  I had a problem with the 1 1/4" handlebar mount and Techmount changed it out for a 33ML size since the stock handlebar was not actually a true 1 1/4".  I suggest measuring the circumference of the handlebar and verify you get the correct size mount.  Rich
Hi rich, do you use the bluetooth with your Garmin and if you do what did you get for a earpiece? Thanks Billy

Billy, I am not currently using Bluetooth.  If I used a 3/4 or full faced helmet I would buy/use the J&M Bluetooth product, however, the actual unit itself is too big for a 1/2 helmet.  I may end up using a wired product but would prefer Bluetooth.  I am open to suggestion.  Let me know what you find.  Rich

On my SERK03 I did not want anything on the handlebars, as it disturbes the look of it. I did install the GPS unit in the right hand saddlebag, with power from the battery. For directions I use a scala rider Bluetooth headset mounted to the helmet. Being able to look at the navigation screen is nice, but the "voice only" part works suprisingly well. And my Road King looks much nicer. I think it is a suitable trade off.

If you have the Zumo and you mount it nice and low it doesn't really compromise the look of the bike. In fact it becomes a talking point among bikers and non bikers alike.

Both Rich's and Andy's Zumo's are well positioned and IMHO look pretty good on the bike.

Well worth it for the amount of help they give you. Andy also has geared up for all the weather satellite information.

P.S. How's it hanging Rich ?

How does the weather work? Do you get radar or just verbal weather reports. Seems like a good idea on a trip as no reason toi ride if it is going to rqain in 20 minutes fron your room. Might as well stay dry and wait it out. Thanks Billy

You get the full works Billy via the satellite. It will show you where the bad weather is and it will even ask you if you would like to be detoured around it.

We don't have that facility over here in Europe yet, but if we did I would definitely be getting it.

Cheers,

this is the handlebar base turned upside down and bolted where my windshield bag was, i was thinking of a bit of refining, but wondered if there is a flaw to this. the position is perfect.

Was wondering how much vibration/rattling you have with it mounted on the wind shield?
