2011 FLHXSE2 License Plate Options
« on: September 19, 2010, 06:16:23 PM »

Been looking around for something to "clean" up the back end with the plate and light. I've seen a couple of posts where some have used the Kuryakyn plate that you have to drill.

Has anyone tried the Yaffe "Stealth 3 License Frame?"

Looks pretty slick......thinking about doing this one.

Any input?

The stealth 3 was on my list.  However, it's pricey and there's little plate to be seen and that is a big issue here in the UK where a std plate is 9x7 let alone 7x4.  If you can get away with the size it's a looker.

On the other hand I too went with the Kuryakyn and think it's a solid good looking option - three holes - man-up, everyone else has.

As always, your bike, your choice.

Cheers,

Been looking at the Stealth 3 for about a year. They keep putting off the shipping date. As of now they have switched manufacturers and are waiting for the first batch to arrive. If you call they will put you on a wating list.

I too have been looking at this product for over a year, I called just the other day when the prices showed up on the Bagger Nation Web page.  Paul Yaffee picked up the phone himself, as he has done in the past, and told me that the product was finally in but they were not satisfied with the chrome quality and sent the whole batch back.  He is unsure when the restocking date will be.

I am one of those on the wait list for the Stealth III and Paul indicated that it would likely be between Thanksgiving and Christmas because of the change in manufacturers.  With the other options out there, I will wait.

According to Yaffe, it is 100% bolt on. It covers all existing holes...now if they could get the things made and ready to sell, I would have one already.

Just went by his shop Friday and talked to Phil. They switched suppliers and now the date has moved to after the first of the year. It sucks but I saw the proto and was impressed. I'm on the list too.

Oh my this is very sweet......I have read that it just bolts on but what about the wiring for the light. Does it have an adaptor or do you have to cut and use connectors?

From the folks that I have spoken to at Yaffe....it is all plug and play...no cutting or splicing required. I hope they were right.....

Looks like I will be getting in line too  :2vrolijk_21:.

I just sent an email asking if it is plug and go. As soon as I hear back I will let you all know.
