This V&H X cross over,
Actually extracts the other cylinder, venturi effect, on the cleanout of cylinder stroke of the 4 stroke (on the one not firing)  get it?  I am pleased, and not sure any exhaust I have had on the last three Harleys, Road King, Granny Glide, and now my CVO Street Glide, not sure there is any better exhaust.  I did this before adding the rest of the goodies, Passing Lights, LEDs, Race Tuner, and the rest....

The X looks like this:

Bigdog1,

The monster ovals are a no go. They would fit if the inlet was centered on the outlet, but it is offset to the inside pushing the ends out too far.

The stock cans are 4" round so you need at least that. The VH rounds are even bigger and fill great! I find VH cans to really mellow out the tone... if thats for you.

I like the VH dresser duals.... they look like factory, naturally they have no Cat and use the factory O2 sensors. The crossover power duals are not my favourites to look at, but many love them becasue they are suppose to generate more torque.

The stock "Ventilator" a/c is a high flow, so you should be good to go... I went with the HD Heavy breather... I like the look and I don't have lowers.... though HD makes one for yours too I believe.

You need a EFI tuner... I went with the HD Pro Super tuner, mostly because the guy doing the tuning favoured it... The only other choice IMHO would be the TTS master tuner.

You will find all of this to be a matter of choice to a lot of people. Plenty of debate. Determine what you want the end game to be. For me I wanted a louder, crisper sound, a bit more power, a factory look and quality and angled tips on the mufflers to match angle of bags.

After all this research I chose the VH dresser duals, Klocker Works revolver cans, SEPST, and Heavy Breather. Also find a really good "TUNER"... someone who really knows what he's doing. I got huge gains in HP (8hp) and torque (11#) totals 91.1 / 111.31 compare to using just the modified maps available. Those "canned" maps with the parts produced only 83.01 / 100.33... plus now the max torque is all in the 2500-4000 range... right where I live.

Here are pics and Dyno Sheet.

Hey Nick.

I just finished putting the same rear light set up as you as we discussed 2 months ago.....looks great....yes i know everybody, where are the pics. Soon as i cannot get her out of the garage yet.

My question is this......the exhaust set up. Does it comply with the new noise laws. Is it lower than 95db?

Sorry Mano... no idea at all on that. It's pretty stealth unless you are twisting the grip. I'd assume yes as it's far and away quieter than my springer was with VH Big Radius. Frankly, i can't imagine really worrying too much about it out here in Niagara... Cops are pretty low keyed. In Toronto? maybe not so much

I have a full V&H setup available off of my 2010 in black if anyone is interested:

V&H Dresser Duals (true duals) in black (heat-shields) - pipes are Jet-Hot coated in black as well.
V&H Hi-Ouput Slip-ons in Black

Overall in great shape - they're just sitting in factory boxes as I thought about using them on my 2011.
Decided to go chrome on the 2011 (Autumn Haze/Antique Gunstock).

PM or email me ... make you a killer deal.

Go with the V&H dresser duals w/ HO mufflers, you won't be dissapointed in either sound or performance.  I'm very happy with mine, that system rocks :bananarock:
