The tweeters were replaced with the new updated (revised) tweeters.  The stereo system is currently working properly on the ride home.  It seems the new udated/revised amp and tweeters have resolved the problems.  I will report back after more rides and listening to the stereo.

The stereo and CD system is working fine.  Sound is fine and the CD is not cutting out.  Currently, I'm happy with the sound.  I just wish the dealership replaced the other speakers with the upgraded/revised speakers to avoid any other issues in the future.

IPod modal is what i was told when i was there yesterday. They have ordered a new one and will be installed.

BUT

After talking with the mechanic I do not think this is the bottom line fix. He could not say much but he believes that there is a fix coming but cannot talk about it yet....to be continued.

It looks like the bright minds at HD are onto someting.

The dealer for the first time acknowledged there IS a problem and they are working on the fix but would not say much more till Harley gives them direction......they might have more information by the end of the week.

A new head unit was ordered. They say my speakers are OK. Bottom line there is more to this and they are not saying much. :nixweiss:

How is everyone else out there making out?

So far the radio and amp is working fine after the last amp change and tweeter change.  The tweeters and speakers have been updated by HD.  HD only changed my tweeters cuz they found them to be defective.  Unfortunately for me, HD didn't find a problem with the speakers and did not upgrade them.  HD will only upgrade the speakers if they are defective.

I did read on this forum of others that had defective tweeters/speakers that would cause the problems I had.  My speakers were checked out by the HD mechanic on previous visits via isolating them during testing.

I have new amp, right speaker and tweeters, cutting out on left side, works fine for about 20 mins than cuts out for 5 min and keeps doing this, the worst is the first 5 mins of riding so can't be a heat issue.Going back to the shop when it gets cold, tired of not having a bike to ride during this warm Florida winter.

Dropped by the dealership yesterday. A new head unit and ipod modal has been installed. Everything is now at a stand still and waiting for further direction from the bright minds at MoCo. I now believe they know what the problem is and they are not releasing this information yet. Can't wait till this one is released but I am suspecting a recall in the future.

Hello trahog.

Just wondering have they replaced your head unit or ipod module?

Seriously doubt a recall, they will most likely handle it as it happens why have the expense if you don't have to.  I am happy to report though that I am still working well.
