Passing Lamps
« on: May 02, 2012, 11:09:32 PM »

I am going to add passing lamps/running lights on my 2011 SESG. Just wondering, since I have to order the bulbs, would the new halogen bulbs be a better bet or the standard ones which match the headlight?

LED.    So much better all around.     HDor truck lite.  No camparrison to halogen.  If you go halogen you will wish you hadn't once you see what you are missing.

X2...
Do to my long days at work I do a lot of riding at night.
LEDs are the only way to go. I tried all the high end
Halogen bulbs... Osram & Piia they pale in comparison to
LEDs.

I went the HD route. About $1,100.00 with all the brackets.
Expensive... You bet. Worth it.

hd has them    most expensive of what i have seen..  I went with the Truck Lite  phase 7    That head light is amazing ,,   so good that i am not adding passing lamps because I dont feel i need them now,,  Such a big difference,  the high beam will astonish you even more,   you can order thu Kuryakin or some of the other after market companies..  I got minje from Phat Performance in cal...  257 plus a small shipping adder,,   easy     easy install too   :2vrolijk_21:

I went HD for the led headlight and passing lights. I got the black version and they are very bright. Finally something that works and looks great at the same time.

Not the best pic but

Went with the silver version myself & love them!!!  Be able to see better at night is a bonus but being able to be seen better during the daylight is priceless...   8)  Cheers, Moose

Be a big mistake to go halogen these days. The LED is so much better.
