CFR Exhaust
« on: August 23, 2012, 09:53:55 AM »

Just got my new CFR Exhaust yesterday... these sound awesome! If you like a muscle car rumble and loud exhaust, these are for you! I have to take the bike back for a tune, but it doesn't run to bad for just slipping them on. I already had the V/H True Duals header pipe, with Fullsac cores. I'm getting a sluggish throttle of the line, but around 1800 rpm the thing comes alive!!

They were just over $600 with shipping, from Iron Aces Speed Shop. Right now I'm running the SE Super Tuner, cuz it was available at the time I needed it.

I have CFRs on my SESG and noticed the same thing as I can see in your picture. The left side muffler is closer to the saddlebag compared to the right side muffler which is more centered between the fender and the bag. I've had mine on since February and just noticed this morning...

I'm glad you mentioned it... I noticed it as soon as I installed them. I was planning on taking it back off to adjust but hadn't had time.  I can't figure out what is causing it.

Same here. If you figure it out, please let me know. BTW, which true duals are you running? I've been thinking about changing head pipe for a while now but concerned it will be too loud as I want to keep the CFRs.

So based on what I'm reading, CFR has made the pipe easier to tune?  I have Fullsac heads and cores, they sound and perform well, but I heard a sound clip of the CFR's and I haven't forgot it!  I hate to mess with a well tuned bike BUT????

Same here...nothing wrong whatsoever with the Fullsac system but saw and heard the CFR's in Sturgis and WOW!

I see a "winter project" coming up!  ;D

I love my CFRs, but man, these are loud!
Today I've made my third attempt to muffle my CFRs.
I welded a two step, 10" perforated funnel near the end tip.
I've got it down from 83dB to 79dB during idling and I believe I've got the torque up a bit between 2-3000 rpm ?
We'll see next week, when its time to hit the Dyno...
I still have a massive rumble but not the neighbor wakening effect  ;)

I'm running S&S true duals, SE 10:5 pistons, K&N filter, Supertuner and S&S 583 cams.
