Kudos to Matt Laidlaw for this very informational video on the 2020 RDRS feature:
Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS) Explained for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles
https://youtu.be/GbiPayv9inc (https://youtu.be/GbiPayv9inc)
Kudos to Matt Laidlaw for this video and for providing, where possible, the missing items free to Laidlaw MC customers.
Dodos to Harley Davidson for these changes - all designed to save money and piss existing customers off:
5 Small Changes to the 2020 Harley-Davidson Touring Bikes
https://youtu.be/sjb3gYgRYXA (https://youtu.be/sjb3gYgRYXA)
In answer to Matt's question in the video "are you pissed at the changes", my answer is YES!
Kudos also to Laidlaw MC for their practice of not adding dealer markup fees on any of their new Harleys!

Less supplied with the bike each year will continue to be a trend. Schedule is for this to continue and by 2028 for the 125th Anniversary models the rear cylinder will become an option based on the observation that a lot of riders don't like that warmth next to their leg and would like to turn the rear cylinder off anyway. Rear hole covered by a special Screamin' Eagle bore cover (available in chrome for extra charge) which can be removed for the installation of the Screamin' Eagle Rear Cylinder and Power Kit ($4849.99 MSRP).

Wonder if we will see a Harley Hybrid. :huepfenlol2: one day

Yep. Heal shifter is a must have for me ever since I learned to use it in 2003 on my 03 Fatboy.

Showing that sales sticker. NO dealer prep on it. I'm starting to like this guy. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Laidlaw's is a still a family run dealership here in SoCal and one of the oldest. Mat is the grandson. No mark-up and he'll throw in the heal shifter for mentioning the video & the extra key fob if you do your services (2), on the second service. Cool. Someone cares!

Good informational videos. HD is cutting cost, brand new riders will not notice the parts removed that used to be standard is their bet.

I would agree, but I honestly don't see any NEW HD riders! See an HD in my area and guarantee its a white haired or grey beard!
The trend around here is every HD dealer now sells Triumph, and or Triumph and KTM or BMW Triumph and Brand X.

Most the young new riders I know will notice, as their Dads have been on Harleys for years.

Yep.

Yep.
Those young riders will not notice because they'll be riding other brands...

We live in a age where we expect more, HD offers less for more money.
Has nothing to do exactly with the subject matter but for some reason HD's present situation reminds me of this:

Did the saddlebag mounting hardware change in the last couple of years?
One of the bikes seemed to have levers.

Yup, a few years ago. I can't remember exactly when.

2014. Tour pac lid handle changed too.
Both were great improvements.

Sorry I wasn't clear.
I was looking at the inside mounting.
Seemed to be levers instead of Dzus pins holding the bag to the bike.
