This is not the same bike you rode two years ago.  Completely redesigned by Polaris.

Yeah, well I'll be the judge of that when he drags me to the next demo.  I'll take way more than a wink and a press release to fix that mess.

Well, with a completely different seat height, wheelbase, engine configuration and design (no primary, parallel pushrod tubes, 49 degree V, just to mention a few), totally different frame, 100 million spent in R&D over the past two years, and a price tag that is more than $10,000 LESS than the version attempted by Stellican, LTD in 2010, I would say it's 100% certain that it's not the same bike you rode.  100 Million buys more than a wink and a press release...the only commonality to the previous attempt is in a few key styling characteristics.

Don't get me wrong - A strong competitor will help us all, even if we remain loyal to Harley.  I sure wouldn't mind a 5 year warranty and more competitive pricing, as a start.  However, the proof is in the pudding and I am actually looking forward to demo'ing the new ones. Imho, the fairing is a bit fugly, and where's the tourpak, but overall not bad for a first shot.  I sure hope it's as good as it looks, and isn't just a Victory with Indian fenders.

I'll keep my Harley "for now" (even thou HD has really cheeped out on some vitally parts and quality has remained way down), but I plan on buying a new Indian for my next bike next spring. I'll have them both and will be able to really compare the two. And let's see from there which one has the better quality. After all, quality is what I expect and am willing to pay for, not cheeped out craftsmanship! Some people ride their bikes every day and expect them to hold up for the kind of money you pay. Quality, quality, quality and craftsmanship..........are you listening MOCO!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, though the same frame is common to all three bikes, I would assume.  The monoshock is a good design concept, not to be confused with HD's soft tail design.

My dealer also told me with all the major changes in store, get ready to pay more for a 2014 CVO Ultra... In Canada the 13's MSRP is currently at $42,700.  I suspect from the way my dealer is talking if I want a '14 SEUC the price will be north of $48k.  Ouch!  Oh yeah, then add taxes etc.

Heck my first house was way less than that, and as everyone knows a house appreciates in value!!!

Boy, do I ever love my '08 Duracell.   :)  Runs great and still looks amazing.

These prices are getting pretty high. If I told my 86 y/o father I was buying a $40'000.000 motorcycle he'd stroke out. I just don't get it? If you have a nice post 09 frame bike and it looks and runs good why would you trade for a new one at that price? Color? What about the CVO bike core has really changed in the last few years? And I don't mean trinkets, bells and whistles that they all try to pass off as big deals. Forgive me is I sound cynical and take me to school if I need it.

I believe that with few exceptions, dealers rarely know more about new models than we do.

AMEN! I have taught lots of things to H-D salespeople... the ones who even care to learn, that is. They are often nearly-completely ignorant about the bikes they sell, and they really are only taught how to persuade and complete contracts.
