Local dealer said the owners will see them "officially" Sunday night August 18th and the HD website should have them up around 10 PM eastern time that night.

I'll tell you what....HD better do something....Indian is on the war path.

At Sturgis, Indian had a great showing with lots of excitment about their new motor and they just look cool.  Harley didn't create any excitment....same old same old.

If Indian is able to develop a desent dealer network......I would get one.(I would save a lot of money on T-shirts)

Man up Harley...I still love you...but every time I look at the Indian....I take pause a little longer.

I have no idea what you are talking about, I glanced at the ugly Indian thought to myself, poor thing, and strolled right by with a little chuckle. I found nothing remotely interesting, just another Victory trying to be a Harley IMO  :coolblue:

http://blog.motorcycle.com/2013/08/16/manufacturers/harley-davidson/carb-reveals-2014-harley-davidson-models-including-some-cool-surprises/  From what this article says, the CARB reports show lower emissions in 2 models with the same displacement as other models...as a possible indication of water cooling in 2 bikes.  Read the article and check the CARB reports.

It sure is interesting to see that the CVO Ultra Limited, Ultra Limited, and Shriner Limited had a separate rating sheet from all of the other bikes, even with the same size engine, and had different and much lower emissions ratings.  Could it be that we have a new engine fluid to monitor?

Those emissions numbers are low.  What are the chances of a CVO Limited HYBRID?  That would blow everyone out of the water.

Seeing the gauge layout from the Facebook posting, and knowing its called Project Rushmore...I bet HD is calling it that because the gauges are all side by side, just like Rushmore's faces.

Based on the CARB filings, I don't expect anything new performance-wise, but more about gadgets. A new fancy radio, LEDs stock in more models, etc.  The inner fairing and it's supports will be the only changes.  Then, we'll see a rush of owners with the older style replacing it with the new inner, upgrading radios, etc....basically, retrofitting the new to old.

And then, MOCO will sell it as an upgrade kit, in primer only, at an inflated cost to us all!  Just like saddlebag speaker lids, speakers in lowers, etc!

Yes, many of us including myself have been and still are diehard HD loyalists. But that line of loyalty is getting thinner and thinner with each HD  increase and each reliability issue that continues to dog the MOCO.
Hopefully MOCO will at some point start returning the loyalty along with the dealers. Some dealers in my area are making warranty work a 8wk wait to push customers to other dealers so they can make the easy money. Go figure make something that breaks and then don't wanna back up your customers. :soapbox:

On the CARB documents, note the different engine families.....on the certification for the CVO Limited, Ultra Limited and Shrine edition, the emissions are low and the engine family is EHDXC1.80AEF. On the FLHX, Ultra Classic, Road King, etc., the engine family is EXDXC1.80AED. Interesting....I guess we'll know in a few hours.

A lot of riders including myself are excited about the new Indian. Polaris has shown Victory to be a very reliable brand and it is expected that the new Indians will be every bit as reliable. And I believe that Victory or Indian have ever wanted to be Harley clones. The new Indians will likely take sales away from HD at least until HD can equal the quality of Victory, Honda, Yamaha, BMW, etc.

Yes, many of us including myself have been and still are diehard HD loyalists. But that line of loyalty is getting thinner and thinner with each HD price increase and each reliability issue that continues to dog the MOCO.
No biggy you like what you like ya know? I personally just think all Victorys bikes, including the Indian, are Harley ripoffs. The bikes are just their version of a certain bike that Harley makes, only much less desirable TO ME. I just don't see it. Take the cross country for example, just a wannabe SG but less appealing. Again, all my opinions, feelings on it. I love my Harley and nothing that Victory/Indian has done has grabbed my attention just looks like more of the same to me.

I wonder with that big radio display if they come with built in GPS? Or if that is a option you can buy like a Goldwing has?
I guess we will find out tomorrow.
