Congrats on the new bike. That factory custom color combination looks great  :2vrolijk_21:

I really like the way the new tourpack and saddlebag latches work on the 14's, seems like there will be a lot less fiddilin with them to get them open/closed.
And yes those LED's  on the tourpack are BRIGHT, much brighter than the one on my '11, but I think I would have to add some signals down low too -- maybe some CVO Streetglide style ones to fill in the space between the bags and fender.

Beautiful ride.  No doubt a fine choice and with the $$$ you saved you can still customize to make it yours.  Enjoy the ride.   :2vrolijk_21:

I'm really interested in how the new bikes ride. Thanks for sharing and you won't bore people with pictures. I remember when mine was that clean underneath.

Scott. Thanks for the pics. I saw that blue at my dealer tonite. Much much better than the other colors. I did see a Road King CVO that was striking in a popping orange. Best color and paint by far for 14 so far. Good luck and congrats.

Very nice looking bike!  I really like all the new lighting.  I'm trying to not like them too much since I've only had mine for 3 months.  Enjoy your new ride  8)

So much more of the crash bar is covered by the lower/radiator-housing I actually wasn't sure if we could install highway pegs.

I just saw the pic of one just picked up today and he already has the highway pegs on there with no problem.  He has the same ones that I have on mine...the Harley short extended arm.  The pic below is of my bike to reference what arm he used for his pegs and what position they are mounted at.

Took a ride to Seacoast H-D with Dead_Reckoning and his neighbor Mike to look at the new 2014's. What I came away with was a wish to be small enough to be able to look normal on a Sportster. Harley-Davidson's best styling efforts for the past two model years have gone into the tricked out Sportsters (in my opinion) As to the "big" bikes, As noted elsewhere the air vent would not have been an issue had they simply moulded it into the fairing without the added extrusion AND making that extrusion black. What could have been a good add is an eyesore because the folks in design seem to think that when you add something new you want it to be noticed in a big way. On the black bikes the vent and extrusion blend together fairly well and you can see how it would have looked had somebody in Willie G's studio had his thinking cap on. Beyond that as I have noted before, each new model year seems to see the classic H-D lines being changed enough that in a couple years a H-D will look like a big Yamaha or other metric bikes. The best description I can give is they look "puffy". My 07 has sharp lines, ridges and corners that define the overall look of the bike. The 2014's I looked at seem like that guy who used to teach painting on TV designed them with his "puffy little clouds" touch. My apologies to anyone this offends, but it's what I see and how I feel about it

To me it still looks like a classic Harley big touring bike.  I think they have done a good job making design changes while maintaining the "look."  Not loving the color choices, but I still think it's a great looking bike.

Jay,

Great looking ride!  Not certain, but you just may be the first to post pics on this site of a new 2014 CVO Limited.  Congrats on a beautiful bike!  :2vrolijk_21:

Some more pics would be much appreciated.

Enjoy your new bike.
