Title: Electrical system lamp (security system) on steady while riding?
Post by: jc15025 on October 22, 2020, 04:13:51 PM

What does it mean when Electrical system lamp (security system) on speed gauge will light on steady after a while, while riding?

     Thank you.

Any of several things.  Pull the codes to narrow it down.

It goes away on the next restart and shows up again later?

As Don said,...pull up the DTCs and clear codes if codes reappear check codes fault.
When LED stays on it's a continuous fault, when it comes on and goes out it's a intermittent fault.

Check all your turn signal bulbs, if one is out or flickering it will cause the security key light to stay on.

I went on a ride today and use my other key fob and i didn't get solid red light while riding. When I came home i check for faults. It came up with a BCM fault, code 62137, p/n 69994-128. SPDO fault , code ( UO or U0) 184. No p/n cause i screwed up and clear it? Cleared the other code. Will see what happens.

Probably b2137 rather than 62137.  That's a code for a problem on the headlight circuit.  Voltage present on low beam circuit when high beams are on.  Done anything lately with the headlight?

Just saw a video from Custom Dynamics about after you run the codes and clear, turn off ignition. turn ignition back on and run your right turn signal, left turn signal, hit brake and turn off. Then run procedure again for faults. No Faults. I'm running up front all Custom Dynamics LED lights.

Twolanerrider, Change my stock LED headlight to a Custom Dynamic LED 7" Truebeam Headlight that keeps low beam on with the high beam? Is there anyway to correct this and still run both low/high when high beam on?  Thank you!

If that's what's going on the problem could be avoided in the design of the headlight itself.  Within the module the circuit could be diode protected so that both side of the light didn't see power at the plug.  It would have to be designed in to the light module though.

Ok, I know a few years back when they said the dealership could flash the computer to keep low beam on with the H/B, that it only pertain to the ultras and not my bike?? I have not had the bike out since I cleared the codes, weather?

Custom Dynamics just sent me a new High-Lo-Halo adapter.    :orange:
