Broken iPod

Noticed my radio was not recognizing my iPod. Figured out there are 2 broken wires on the bike side of the quick disconnect right at the little metal pins. Has anyone had this problem and how much of a pain was to fix it?  Resolder/splice wires?????

Mounted in the saddlebag lid? I think that harness is about $50 if I remember. Plugs in up near the seat area.

The section that broke goes under the seat and connects to the bag side.
